Scouting The NBA DFS - Wednesday, April 12

It's the last night of an 82-game grinding NBA season. Senior Expert Adam Ronis guides you towards the top DraftKings and FanDuel DFS plays before the postseason begins!

Plays of the Day

Value: The Bucks are resting Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, Tony Snell and Matthew Dellavedova. That means Michael Beasley is going to play big minutes and he was good earlier in the season when he got the playing time. More players will be ruled out as the day goes along so pay attention to the news.

Fade: Nikola Jokic only played 20 minutes last night and with nothing to play for, his minutes should be limited again.

Game Lines

  1. Houston Rockets (-8) hosting Minnesota Timberwolves (Over/Under = 226.5)
  2. Oklahoma City Thunder (-4.5) hosting Denver Nuggets (Over/Under = 224.5)

Point Guards

Ricky Rubio (MIN) @HOU DK:$7,900/FD:$7,700

The Timberwolves have nothing to play for, but it has been that way for several games and the starters haven't been limited at all. Rubio played 36 minutes last night and had 14 points, 10 assists and four rebounds.

Isaiah Thomas (BOS) vs. MIL DK:$8,400/FD:$8,700

The Celtics can clinch the top seed in the Eastern Conference with a win and the Bucks are resting several players. There is the potential blowout but for the Celtics to open a big lead Thomas is likely going to play a big part.

Jamaal Murray ($5500/$4600) has been playing big minutes and will continue to do so especially if Emmanuel Mudiay is ruled out.

Ron Baker ($4000/$3600) played 38 minutes last game and had 11 points, eight rebounds and eight assists for 34.5 DK points.

Shooting Guards

Garry Harris (DEN) @OKC DK:$6,100/FD:$5,900

Harris is probable to play and the Nuggets will be without several players again. Harris could play in the mid-30s and there's not many players we can say that about on the final day. Harris had 20 points, eight rebounds and eight assists last night. Harris has 44 DK points in two of the last three games.

Timothe Luwawu-Cabbarrot (PHI) @NY DK:$5,900/FD:$5,700

He has played at least 32 minutes in eight straight games. He had 24 points, five rebounds, three assists and one steal in 37 minutes the last game against the Pacers and has at least 30.25 DK points in three of the last four games.

Justin Holiday ($3900/$3700) played 40 minutes in the last game and had 10 points, five rebounds and five assists for 28.75 DK points and has at least 22.5 DK points in four straight.

Malik Beasley ($3000/$3500) played 32 minutes last night and had 16 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals for 29 FD points. If Emmanuel Mudiay is ruled out, the minutes should be there for Beasley.

Small Forwards

Jimmy Butler (CHI) vs. BRK DK:$10,200/FD:$10,200

The Bulls are playing for a playoff berth. They need to win to get in. There are only a few teams that are in this situation and the minutes are locked in for Butler. He only played 31 minutes in the last game due to a blowout and it could happen again, but there aren't many players to spend up for and the Nets have been competitive, although they are resting players.

Paul George (IND) vs. ATL DK:$9,700/FD:$9,900

The Pacers need a win to clinch a playoff spot. George has been playing excellent during the stretch run and hasn't played fewer than 35 minutes in the last 10 games. George has topped 50 DK points five times in the last ten games.

Michael Beasley ($3200/$4500) hasn't played many minutes recently, but the Bucks are resting Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, Tony Snell and Matthew Dellavedova. Beasley was good earlier in the season when he played significant minutes and he will get the shot here and with a high usage rate.

Bojan Bogdanovic ($3900/$3500) should start and see a high usage rate with John Wall, Bradley Beal and Markieff Morris resting. Otto Porter will start and play limited minutes.

Power Forwards

Kevin Love (CLE) vs. TOR DK:$7,700/FD:$7,600

Love is expected to play, while LeBron James is resting. In the last game without James, Love had 25 points and 10 rebounds for 41 DK points. The Cavaliers still have a shot at the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, but need to win and the Celtics to lose.

James Johnson (MIA) vs.WAS DK:$6,900/FD:$6,500

The Heat are in the three-way battle for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference in which two teams will get the final spots. Johnson recently moved into the starting lineup and has played at least 36 minutes in three straight games and has 49, 39.75 and 31 points in those games with two double-doubles and was one assist short of a double-double in the other game.

Cheick Diallo ($3600/$3500) had 19 points and 11 rebounds in 27 minutes against the Lakers last night  and  Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins will likely sit again.

Juancho Hernangomez ($3000/$3500) played 27 minutes last night and had 14 points and six rebounds for 25.5 DK points and the Nuggets will be short-handed again.

Guillermo Hernangomez (NY) vs. PHI DK:$5,500/FD:$5,100

The Knicks should be without Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis again. Hernangomez will see a high usage rate and had 24 points, 11 rebounds and five assists and three steaks against the Raptors in the last game in 31 minutes. He gets a 76ers interior he will feast on.

Mason Plumlee (DEN) @OKC DK:$4,400/FD:$5,300

Plumlee played 34 last night and had 16 points and nine rebounds for 29.25 DK points. The Nuggets will be missing players again and Nikola Jokic was limited to 20 minutes last night putting Plumlee in line for 30-plus minutes.

Boban Marjanovic ($5300/$4200) disappointed last game out with only 19 DK points in 20 minutes, but he produces more than a fantasy point per minutes in his career and could see bigger minutes today.

Alexis Ajinca ($4600/$3700) will play in the mid-20s with Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins expected to sit again. Ajinca has 26.4, 25.7 and 28.1 FD points over the last three games.
