Awful timing for an injury with Brantley playing well. The good news is it's not the shoulder that has given him problems. Brantley sprained his right ankle Sunday and didn't play Monday. He might miss the series with Toronto.

RP Cameron Bedrosian, Los Angeles Angels

Bedrosian has resumed throwing, but not off a mound yet. There's no timetable for his return.

RP Zach Britton, Baltimore Orioles

Britton rushed back from the DL and is now back on it again. Britton is dealing with a strained left forearm and he will be shut down for the next 10 days.

1B C.J. Cron, Los Angeles Angels

Cron was hit on the wrist in a minor league rehab game and X-rays were negative. He should return in a day or two.

RP Sean Doolittle, Oakland A's

Doolittle is sidelined with a left shoulder strain. He's had shoulder problems for years.

SS Matt Duffy, Tampa Bay Rays

Duffy is coming off an Achilles injury and will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Charlotte on Tuesday.

SP Felix Hernandez, Seattle Mariners

Manager Scott Servais said Hernandez is feeling really good and is expected to resume throwing shortly. Hernandez, who has bursitis in his throwing shoulder, is slated to return at the end of the month.

SP Cole Hamels, Texas Rangers

Hamels will miss eight weeks with an oblique strain.

SP Corey Kluber, Cleveland Indians

Kluber was placed on the DL with a back strain. He isn't expected to miss more than the 10 days.

SP Ian Kennedy, Kansas City Royals

Kennedy is out with a hamstring injury.

SP Sean Manaea, Oakland Athletics

Manaea was placed on the 10-day DL with a left shoulder strain. He is expected to miss one start. Manaea threw a 38-pitch bullpen session on Saturday and is scheduled to pitch in a rehab game on Wednesday.

OF J.D. Martinez, Detroit Tigers

Martinez began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Monday and went hitless playing nine innings in the outfield. He is slated to return on Friday.

C Russell Martin Jr., Toronto Blue Jays

Martin was placed on the 10-day DL with left shoulder irritation. He has been bothered by the shoulder since the spring.

SP James Paxton, Seattle Mariners

Paxton was placed on the DL with a strained left forearm. Paxton was dominating and this isn't a good sign for a pitcher that has been plagued by injuries during his career.

SP Aaron Sanchez, Toronto Blue Jays

Sanchez threw a bullpen session on Sunday and is slated to make an extended spring training start on Tuesday.

SS Andrelton Simmons, Los Angeles Angels

Simmons was hit by a pitch on his right thumb Monday and it deflected and hit his left hand, too. X-rays came back negative and he's day-to-day.

SP Tyson Ross, Texas Rangers

Ross is coming off thoracic outlet surgery and he threw a 30- pitch simulated game Monday. He is getting closer to a rehab assignment.

OF Mike Trout, Los Angeles Angels

Trout had an MRI on his left hamstring and it came back clean. He missed his third consecutive game Monday, but could return Tuesday. There's also a possibility Trout lands on the DL.

SP Steven Wright, Boston Red Sox

Wright had season-ending knee surgery on Monday.

SP Brett Anderson, Chicago Cubs

Anderson landed on the DL with a back injury.

SS Asdrubal Cabrera, New York Mets

Cabrera injured his thumb diving for a ball on Saturday. The Mets say he will avoid the DL and he pinch hit with the bases loaded Monday night and grounded into a double play.

OF Yoenis Cespedes, New York Mets

Mets manager Terry Collins said Cespedes should resume baseball activities in the next few days. He could return in two weeks if things go well, although another report said he could be out for the month.

SS Brandon Crawford, San Francisco Giants

Crawford is on the DL with a groin injury and began a rehab assignment on Monday. The Giants want him to play another rehab game and he will play another game with Double-A Richmond.

SP Wei-Yin Chen, Miami Marlins

He was placed on the DL last week with arm fatigue in his throwing arm. He is scheduled to throw a bullpen Wednesday.

C Travis D'Arnaud, New York Mets

d'Arnaud was placed on the DL with a bruised right wrist.

OF Dexter Fowler, St. Louis Cardinals

Fowler missed his fourth straight game Monday due to a shoulder injury. He is scheduled to return Tuesday.

3B David Freese, Pittsburgh Pirates

Freese has started baseball activities, but has yet to run the bases as he recovers from a hamstring injury.

RP Koda Glover, Washington Nationals

He threw a bullpen session on Monday and could return from his hip injury in a few days. There's a chance he could close when he returns.

1B Adrian Gonzalez, Los Angeles Dodgers

Gonzalez was placed on the DL with right elbow soreness. It's the first time he is on the DL in his career.

OF Jason Heyward, Chicago Cubs

Heyward is sidelined with a sprained finger on his right hand.

RP Shawn Kelley, Washington Nationals

Kelley was placed on the DL Friday with a back injury. He is eligible to return Friday. Kelley could return as the closer since no one has seized the job in his absence.

OF Jose Martinez, St. Louis Cardinals

Martinez was placed on the DL with a hamstring injury.

SP Brandon McCarthy, Los Angeles Dodgers

McCarthy was moved from Saturday to Sunday after injuring his non-throwing shoulder (left) in a weight room accident. The Sunday start was postponed due to rain and the Dodgers decided to skip his start. Then he was placed on the 10-day DL.

SP Aaron Nola, Philadelphia Phillies

Nola has been out since April 20 with a back strain. He is expected to make a rehab start this week.

3B Martin Prado, Miami Marlins

Prado was placed on the DL with a hamstring injury. It's the same injury that put him on the DL to begin the season.

INF Miguel Rojas, Miami Marlins

Rojas has a thumb injury and is likely to be placed on the DL.

OF Stephen Piscotty, St. Louis Cardinals

Piscotty is out with a hamstring injury.

OF Denard Span, San Francisco Giants

Span will begin a rehab assignment with High-A San Jose on Tuesday. He could be activated later in the week.

SP Noah Syndergaard, New York Mets

Syndergaard has been moved to the 60-day DL. He will not throw for six weeks.

SP Jameson Taillon, Pittsburgh Pirates

Real sad news here. Taillon underwent surgery Monday for suspected testicular cancer. We wish the best for his recovery.

SP Edinson Volquez, Miami Marlins

He threw a bullpen session Monday and is slated to return on Saturday against the Braves. Volquez had a blister.
