Stefon Diggs NE WR
Patriots' Stefon Diggs: Practicing without knee brace
1h agoDiggs (ACL) participated in on-field work in uniform and without a brace on his right knee at Day 3 of OTAs on Thursday, Taylor Kyles of CLNSMedia.com reports.
The Patriots' photo release of OTAs reveals Diggs looking healthy and without any apparent hindrances related to his right knee, in which he suffered a torn right ACL on Oct. 27. While the 31-year-old wideout likely still has some hurdles to overcome in his rehab before being cleared for contact, his ability to get in some on-field work at voluntary OTAs lends further optimism to the notion that he'll be a full-go for Week 1. Since signing Diggs to a three-year, $69 million deal in free agency, New England added a speedy vertical threat to the wide receiver room in the form of third-round pick Kyle Williams, plus a capable pass-catcher in the backfield in second-rounder TreVeyon Henderson. Those additions don't represent huge threats to Diggs' position as the clear top target for second-year quarterback Drake Maye, health permitting, but Henderson and Williams are explosive options that this offense had otherwise been lacking in incumbent wideouts DeMario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte, Kendrick Bourne, Mack Hollins, Ja'Lynn Polk (shoulder) and Javon Baker.

Sean Murphy-Bunting ARI CB
Cardinals' Sean Murphy-Bunting: Done for season
19h agoMurphy-Bunting (undisclosed) was placed on the reserve/non-football injury list by the Cardinals on Thursday, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.
The type of injury was not disclosed by either Murphy-Bunting or the Cardinals, but the nature of the transaction means that it happened away from team facilities and that the cornerback will miss the 2025 season. Murphy-Bunting started 15 games for the Cardinals in 2024, the first year of a three-year free-agent contract he signed the previous March. Arizona has two other experienced corners, Starling Thomas and Garrett Williams, back from last year as well as 2025 second-round pick Will Johnson.

Jermaine Burton CIN WR
Bengals' Jermaine Burton: Impressing at camp
23h agoHead coach Zac Taylor told reporters Wednesday that Burton has "done a good job" this offseason, Chris Roling of USA Today reports.
Burton, a 2024 third-round pick from Alabama, struggled throughout his rookie campaign, catching just four passes for 107 yards and tallying 378 kick-return yards over 14 games. Additionally, the Bengals had concerns about the 23-year-old's character, as he missed a pregame walkthrough and was involved in other incidents during the 2024 season. However, Taylor seems to be impressed with Burton's progression this offseason. If he can continue to impresses Cincinnati's staff this summer, Burton could serve as the team's No. 3 wide receiver in 2025.

Maxx Crosby LV DE
Raiders' Maxx Crosby: Past ankle issue
23h agoCrosby (ankle) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
Crosby missed the final five games of the Raiders' 2024 campaign due to an ankle injury, but his full practice participation Wednesday suggests he's already moved past the issue. The Eastern Michigan product inked a three-year, $106.5 million extension to keep him in Las Vegas in early March after posting 59.5 sacks across six seasons with the team. Now back to full health, Crosby is expected to remain one of the NFL's top defensive playmakers in 2025.
-
Aidan Hutchinson DET DE
Lions' Aidan Hutchinson: Back to full health
23h agoHutchinson (leg) told reporters Thursday that he's fully cleared to return, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
Hutchinson was the frontrunner for Defensive Player of the Year before sustaining a season-ending leg injury in the Lions' Week 6 win over the Cowboys in 2024. However, he now appears to be completely past the issue. Over the Michigan product's first three years in the NFL, he appeared in 39 regular-season games and recorded 132 total tackles, including 28.5 sacks, 10 passes defended, with four interceptions, and four forced fumbles. Now back to full health, Hutchinson is expected to continue wreaking havoc on opposing quarterbacks in 2025.

Brian Burns NYG LB
Giants' Brian Burns: Contract restructured
23h agoThe Giants converted $10 million of Burns' base salary into a signing bonus Thursday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
According to Yates, the Giants signed 2025 third-overall pick Abdul Carter on Thursday and converted part of Burns' salary into a signing bonus to stay under the salary cap. The 2019 first-round pick made an impact in his first year with the Giants, recording 71 total tackles, including 8.5 sacks, and eight passes defended over 17 regular-season contests. He's now expected to be a part of one of the NFL's top pass-rush duos in 2025, starting opposite Carter.

Rece Hinds CIN RF
Reds' Rece Hinds: Optioned to Triple-A
3m agoThe Reds optioned Hinds to Triple-A Louisville on Friday.
While he popped two home runs, Hinds went just 3-for-19 with 10 strikeouts during his time with the big club. The Reds are replacing him with a player that has more versatility in Garrett Hampson.
-
Hunter Greene CIN SP
Reds' Hunter Greene: Activated ahead of Friday's start
6m agoThe Reds activated Greene (groin) from the 15-day injured list Friday.
Greene will make his return to the Cincinnati rotation with a start Friday against the Cubs after missing the past two-plus weeks with a Grade 1 right groin strain. The right-hander is skipping a rehab assignment, so his workload Friday might be relatively limited.
-
Casey Lawrence SEA RP
Mariners' Casey Lawrence: Outrighted to Triple-A
16m agoThe Mariners outrighted Lawrence to Triple-A Tacoma on Friday.
Lawrence cleared waivers after being designated for assignment earlier in the week. The 37-year-old pitched in five games out of the bullpen for Seattle, logging g a 3.00 ERA and 6:1 K:BB across 15.1 innings.

Logan Davidson ATH SS
Athletics' Logan Davidson: Expected to be promoted
19m agoThe Athletics are expected to promote Davidson from Triple-A Las Vegas, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Davidson will need to be added to the 40-man roster ahead of his MLB debut. The 27-year-old can play shortstop, third base and the outfield. In 41 games at Triple-A this season, Davidson has slashed .303/.452/.428 with two home runs, 22 RBI, 30 runs scored and seven stolen bases across 186 plate appearances. He doesn't appear ticketed for regular playing time out of the gate with the Athletics.
-
Gabe Speier SEA RP
Mariners' Gabe Speier: Strong results as setup man so far
1h agoSpeier allowed one hit in a scoreless inning with no strikeouts in Thursday's 9-2 loss to the Astros.
Speier turned in his seventh scoreless outing out of nine appearances so far this month. On the season, the 30-year-old owns a 2.25 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 28:4 K:BB with seven holds over 20 innings. Speier remains one of Seattle's most important high-leverage pieces as the team's lone active left-hander out of the bullpen, and he should continue to operate primarily in a setup role for closer Andres Munoz.
-
Rhett Lowder CIN SP
Reds' Rhett Lowder: Exits rehab start with side injury
2h agoLowder (forearm) was removed from a rehab start with Triple-A Louisville in the second inning with an apparent left side injury, Dusty Baker of WAVE 3 News reports.
Lowder threw a scoreless first inning before having to exit after throwing just one pitch in the second inning. The righty was making his second rehab start with Louisville and fourth rehab start in total as he comes back from a right forearm strain. Lowder has been roughed up for 11 runs (10 earned) over 7.1 innings so far on the rehab assignment and will now be set back for an undetermined amount of time.

Isaiah Joe OKC SG
Thunder's Isaiah Joe: Fails to score in Game 2 win
11h agoJoe notched zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and one block over three minutes during Thursday's 118-103 win over the Timberwolves in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.
Joe barely featured in the rotation Thursday, failing to score for the third time these playoffs. He has now played fewer than 10 minutes in six of the past seven games as the Thunder tightens its rotation moving deep into the postseason. At this point, he is basically being used as a depth piece, although his offensive upside could still play a role at some point should the situation call for it.
-
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander OKC SG
Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: Tables game-high 38 points
11h agoGilgeous-Alexander chipped in 38 points (12-21 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 13-15 FT), three rebounds, eight assists and three steals over 42 minutes during Thursday's 118-103 win over the Timberwolves in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.
Fresh off being named this year's Most Valuable Player, Gilgeous-Alexander went to work, dismantling the Timberwolves in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. It marks his fifth straight game with at least 30 points, with his last three games being blowout victories. Oklahoma City is now just two wins away from reaching the NBA Finals, an achievement that seems somewhat fitting given its dominant season.
-
Jalen Williams OKC SF
Thunder's Jalen Williams: Double-doubles in Game 2 triumph
11h agoWilliams closed with 26 points (12-20 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 0-1 FT), 10 rebounds, five assists and one steal across 39 minutes during Thursday's 118-103 win over the Timberwolves in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.
Williams was at it again, helping guide the Thunder to a relatively comfortable victory in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. It continues what has been an impressive postseason run for Williams, mirroring what he did during the regular season. In 12 games over the past month, he has averaged 20.1 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.5 three-pointers. The series now shifts to Minnesota, where Oklahoma City will look to inflict more damage on the Timberwolves.
-
Nickeil Alexander-Walker MIN SF
Timberwolves' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Pops for 17 points in loss
11h agoAlexander-Walker ended with 17 points (5-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds and two assists in 25 minutes during Thursday's 118-103 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.
Alexander-Walker came off the bench for 17 points, one of only three Minnesota players to exceed 15 points. It's been an inconsistent postseason up until this point for the backup guard, with his offensive output ranging from 0 to 20 points. More often than not, he tallies single digits, a trend he will need to change should Minnesota hope to reverse its fortunes.
-
Mike Conley MIN PG
Timberwolves' Mike Conley: Has no impact in Game 2 loss
11h agoConley posted three points (1-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt), three rebounds and three assists over 28 minutes during Thursday's 118-103 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.
Conley looked out of his depth Thursday, failing to have any tangible impact. He has now scored single digits in all but two playoff appearances, a worrying trend for a team that needs production in a hurry. In 11 games over the past month, Conley has put up modest averages of 6.3 points and 3.7 assists in 24.7 minutes per game. At this point, his lack of upside could be a limiting factor against what is a well-rounded Thunder team.
-
Rudy Gobert MIN C
Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert: Disappearing act continues Thursday
12h agoGobert racked up five points (2-5 FG, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and one block across 30 minutes during Thursday's 118-103 loss to the Thunder in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.
Gobert struggled mightily, continuing what has been a disappointing postseason. Outside of one strong performance against the Lakers, Gobert has been a non-factor for the Timberwolves, typically scoring single digits while adding modest defensive contributions. Over his past 11 games, he has averaged just 8.5 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks. Now trailing 2-0 in the series, Minnesota will head home for Games 3 and 4, where it will look to regain some momentum.
-
Stuart Skinner EDM G
Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Between pipes for Game 2
1h agoSkinner will patrol the visiting crease for Game 2 in Dallas on Friday, according to Tony Brar of Oilers TV.
Skinner gave up five goals on 27 shots in Game 1 on Wednesday, after recording two straight shutouts in the final pair of games versus Vegas. Skinner is 2-4 with a 3.39 GAA and an .872 save percentage across six playoff appearances in 2025. The netminder was 1-1-0 during the regular season versus Dallas, allowing eight goals on 46 shots. The Stars are generating 2.86 goals per game over 14 playoff contests.

Seth Jarvis CAR C
Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Ready to play Saturday
1h agoHead coach Rod Brind'Amour said Friday that Jarvis (undisclosed) is fine and should be ready to play in Florida on Saturday for Game 3, Ryan Henkel of The Hockey News reports.
Jarvis left Thursday's game briefly in the third period, but he returned to action before the end of the contest. Jarvis has four goals and 12 points in 12 playoff games this season.
-
Sean Walker CAR D
Hurricanes' Sean Walker: Questionable for Saturday
1h agoWalker (undisclosed) is questionable for Game 3 in Florida on Saturday, according to Ryan Henkel of The Hockey News.
Walker was injured in Game 2 on Thursday. Head coach Rod Brind'Amour said Friday that Walker was "better than he thought he would be" and is considered iffy for Game 3. Should Walker be unavailable, look for Jalen Chatfield (undisclosed) or Alexander Nikishin to enter the lineup.
-
Sam Reinhart FLA C
Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Status for Game 3 pending
4h agoPer Michael Russo of The Athletic, Reinhart (lower body) will see doctors Friday and his status for Game 3 versus Carolina will be updated Saturday, according to head coach Paul Maurice.
Reinhart left Thursday's tilt in Carolina after taking a hip check from Sebastian Aho in the opening stanza. He played one more shift late in the period and did not return. Reinhart was replaced on the top line by Tomas Nosek, and Nosek could see plenty of time on the top line with Aleksander Barkov and Evan Rodrigues should Reinhart sit out Game 3 in Florida. Reinhart has four goals and seven assists across 14 playoff appearances.
-
Aleksander Barkov FLA C
Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Lights lamp on power play
14h agoBarkov put up a power-play goal in a 5-0 win over Carolina in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Thursday.
Barkov's goal put the kitties up 5-0 in the third. He redirected Aaron Ekblad's wrist shot from the right point past Pyotr Kochetkov. It was his fourth goal and 12th point of the postseason (14 games). That total puts Barkov one point behind a trio of teammates (Carter Verhaeghe, Sam Bennett and Eetu Luostarinen) for the team lead in the postseason.
-
Evan Rodrigues FLA C
Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Power-play playmaking prowess
14h agoRodrigues had two assists in a 5-0 victory over the Hurricanes on Thursday in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Both came on the power play. Rodrigues has eight assists, including three with the man advantage, and 19 shots in 12 games this postseason. All three of those power-play points have come against the Canes.
