We’ve all thought about it and maybe even have done it. We’ve marked our ball on the green and replaced it in a slightly different spot in order to avoid putting over a badly repaired divot or a hole caused by aerating the green. No big deal, but it was to Chella Choi when she was DQed from the Canadian Pacific Women’s Open. Check out this video. Did she do it on purpose?
When called on the improper placement, Choi withdrew from the tournament rather than face a two-stroke penalty that would have caused her to miss the cut by one shot.
