Golf and Beer: Good 4-Letter Words

Golf history was made today when Freddie Jacobson, Keegan Bradley and Graeme McDowell became the first professional golfers to start their own craft beer company, named GolfBeer Brewing. Check out this video and then check out their brew.

Four-letter words suggest only the most vulgar and profane swear words, those that are so singularly satisfying — no other words will do — when we’re really pissed. Indeed, there’s an old joke about the tear-your-hair-out frustrations of golf, which got its name because all the other four-letter words were taken.

While that may be true on some days, on most days golf is a premium example that not all four-letter words are bad. Another is the word beer, of course, especially when beer is teamed with golf. You gotta admit that few things beat a brew or two on the golf course or in the clubhouse after a round.

Today, three pro golfers are capitalizing on the winning combination of golf and beer with a historic announcement. Freddie Jacobson, Keegan Bradley and Graeme McDowell have become the first professional golfers to start their own craft beer company, named GolfBeer Brewing. Check out this video and then check out their brew.
