Slater threw three passes, completed three passes for three touchdowns of 60, 18 and 98 yards his team's 50-0 win over Montgomery Academy.

Parker rushed for 201 yards on 34 carries and scored on touchdown runs of 43, and 10 yards in the 27-14 win over Trinity Presbyterian. Parker was an First Team All-State ASWA selection for the 2009 season

This might be a first for Pappanastos has made our list two weeks in a row on the strength of his leg. The junior made field goals of 50 and 48 yards in his team's loss to Washington County. He made nine tackles on defense. Pappanastos was a First Team All-State Kicker during his sophomore season.

Bailey rushed for 259 yards on 27 carries scoring on runs of 1, 5, and 2 yards in the 37-14 win over Dale County. He completed 10-of-15 passes for 162 yards including a 29-yard score.

Kincey rushed for 226 yards on 18 carries and scored four touchdowns of 69, 3, 3, and 14 yards in his team's 34-13 win over Geneva. Kincey had two more touchdowns reversed on penalties.

Marbury picked up a region win over Central Coosa this week with a 35-7 victory. Their junior running back rushed for 220 yards scoring on a 61-yard run on 12 carries.

Hanceville's big guy, Lewis, had 13 tackles and four quarterback hurries in the 31-7 win over Holly Pond. Johnson had eight tackles and five hurries in the win. Bell scored a three-yard touchdown and recorded 11 tackles on defense.

Howton caught six passes for 135 yards and two touchdowns in the 57-0 win over Vinemont. This was Howton's first game after an injury held him out the first two weeks of the season. Howton was an ASWA All-State selection as an Athlete in 2009. He entertains several scholarship offers. Staten rushed for 122 yads on 10 carries and scored two touchdowns of 30 and 13 yards in the win.

Hayes completed 14-of-15 passing attempts for 249 yards scoring four touchdowns of 49, 17, 8 and 24 yards in their 40-12 win over Carbon Hill. The senior also rushed for 87 yards including a three-yard touchdown run.

King rushed for 203 yards on 23 carries scoring four touchdowns of 3, 3, 14, and 69 yards in the 42-13 win over St.James. Andalusia is now 3-0.

Bowe rushed for 125 yards on seven carries and scored on 13, 62, and two 1-yard carries in the 54-14 win over W.S. Neal. Jackson faces a tough test this week against region rival UMS Wright, both teams are undefeated in the region.

The running back again makes our list with a 213-yard rushing game in the team's 21-7 win over Corner. He carried the ball 31 times and scored two touchdowns. Oak Grove is off to a 3-0 start.

Causey made 16 tackles with two assists in the 21-6 loss to Oak Grove.

Akeem Bennett 5-7 140 pounds Junior Running Back/Defensive Back Holtville High School

Bennett made nine tackles in the 45-44 double overtime win over Lincoln. He also scored two touchdowns and the game winning 2-point conversion.

Barnard completed five of his seven pass attempts for 141 yards for four touchdowns. He also rushed for a score. Hale caught two of Barnard's passes for 98 yards, both touchdowns. The Chiefs balanced their offense with the likes of Johnson's performance. The senior rushed for 127 yards six carries scoring three times.

Caldwell threw for 185 yards including a 22-yard touchdown pass. He finished with 242 all purpose yards in the 24-12 win over Calera. Dadeville is 3-0 on the season and plays Munford this week.

The high school got it's first AHSAA victory with a 31-27 win over Monroe County. Robinson completed 10-of-19 pass attempts for 176 yards and touchdowns of 16, 18, and 37 yards. He rushed for another 10-yard score. Miller caught Robinson's three touchdown passes. Murphy rushed for 164 yards on 15 carries and scored a seven-yard touchdown in the historic win.

Dukes rushed for 139 yards on 22 carries scoring twice on 5 and 2 yard runs in the big region win over Rico Stallworth led Escambia County, 31-6. The senior also tossed a 37-yard touchdown pass to Chase Williamson. Dukes was a first team All-State selection for 2009.

Jemison's small package of dynamite, Swindle, rushed for 287 yards and scored twice on 20 carries in the 42-16 win over Holt. Thompson led the defense with 10 tackles in the win.

It has been an tumultuous year the Lincoln football team over the last 12 months. A tough 45-44 double overtime loss is just one more hurdle, but Cochran and team can take heart. They put up a valiant effort. The junior had an incredible performance completing 10-of-19 passing attempts for 245 yards and four touchdowns of 76, 63, 21 and 10 yards. He also rushed for 115 yards on 15 carries scoring two more touchdowns in the 45-44 loss.

Coty Blanchard is a hard act to follow, but Burgess is finding his way. The senior rushed for 114 yards on 18 carries. He also completed six of 11 pass attempts for 95 yards. He tossed a 51-yard touchdown pass and scored a two-point conversion on a botched snap for the extra point. Grimes graded out at 93%, made 11 tackles with three hurries in the 22-7 win over Crossville.

Davis caught eight passes for 144 yards and scored two touchdowns of 10 and 7 yards in the 35-27 win over Munford. He also rushed for a six-yard touchdown on an option play. Elmore County is off to a 3-0 start this season.

Tremble rushed for 273 yards on 29 carries and scored five touchdowns of 18, 10, 13, 37 and 24 yards. He reeled in five passes for 71 yards in the 41-21 win over Oneonta.
