Stars of Alabama 3A-4A

Dust off the record books we had a couple of new names to join in these classifications for week five of the season. Here are the Stars of Alabama:

Andre Kincey
5-11, 185 pounds
Senior Running Back
Abbeville High School

Kincey rushed for 211 yards scoring on runs of 75 and 81 yards on 12 carries. Abbeville defeated Barbour County 51-6.

Anthony Herbert
5-10, 153 pounds
Senior Running Back
T.R. Miller High School

T.R. Miller handed Andalusia their first loss of the season in a 22-6 game. Herbert rushed for 126 yards on 25 carries scoring two touchdowns of 13 and 2 yards in the win.

E.J. Moss
6-3, 210 pounds

Tommy Bothwell
5-11, 170 pounds
Junior Wide Receiver
Ashville High School

Moss passed for 298 yards completing 21-of-29 pass attempts scoring four touchdowns and rushing for 211 yards and another touchdown in the 40-34 win over White Plains. The freshman had an incredible 509 yards total offense which put him fifth all-time in the AHSAA records. Bothwell caught 11 of Moss' passes for 211 yards scoring three touchdowns while adding a fourth on the ground.

Michael Wright
5-8, 165 pounds
Sophomore Linebacker
Geraldine High School

Wright intercepted two fourth quarter passes, made 13 tackles, and broke up two other pass plays in the 32-24 win over Pisgah.

Cody Staten
5-8, 185 pounds
Junior Running Back
Cordova High School

Staten rushed for 301 yards on 19 carries scoring touchdowns of 59, 15, and 51 yards in the 48-12 win over Parrish. The junior stands at 890 yards halfway through the season.

Chris Dukes
5-9, 185 pounds
Senior Running Back

The senior rushed for 332 yards scoring six touchdowns of 76, 54, 20, 59, 1 and 20 yards. The 2009 All-State back bailed out his defense that gave up the goods in a 66-39 win.

6-2, 175 pounds

Christian Collis
6-1, 195 pounds
Senior Wide Receiver
Beauregard High School

Walker made three field goals in the 31-28 win over 6A Benjamin Russell, none more dramatic than the 26-yard boot he made with six seconds remaining in the game. The junior also kicked 22 and 21-yard field goals. Winslett aired it out for 336 yards completing 17-of-26 pass attempts for two touchdowns of 18 and 33 yards and completed two two-point conversions in the fourth quarter. Collis caught eight passes for 194 yards including an 18-yard score and he was the receiver on both of Winlsett's two-point conversion tosses.

Ja'Mel Morris
5-11, 170 pounds
Senior Defensive Back/Receiver
Deshler High School

Morris intercepted four passes and caught a 20-yard touchdown in the 55-18 win over Colbert County. The four interceptions put Morris in a second placed tie in the record books. Only three players have five interceptions in a game, but Morris joins a cast of 15 with the coveted four picks in the AHSAA record book.

C.J. Duncan
5-9, 160 pounds
Sophomore Quarterback
St. James High School

Duncan and his St. James' teammates defeated Montgomery Academy 42-12. The sophomore completed nine-of-20 passing attempts for 274 yards scoring three touchdowns of 50, 56 and 25 yards. He also had 11 carries for 163 rushing yards, including a 61-yard touchdown run. The sophomore had 437 all-purpose yards in the win.

Kyle Caldwell
5-8, 150 pounds
Senior Kicker/Quarterback
Dadeville High School

Caldwell missed a 49-yard field goal at the end of the first half, and his team went in with a 6-0 deficit to Horseshoe Bend The senior came storming back in the second half leading his team to an 18-12 victory. Caldwell completed a 20-yard touchdown pass to Terry Toler and kicked the extra point. He also made a 22-yard field goal and a two-yard touchdown run to keep Dadeville undefeated.
