Alabama WR Likes SEC Schools

Marsellos Wilder, from Tuscaloosa-Central, (Ala.), reeled in 39 passes for 670 yards and 10 touchdowns as a wide receiver for the Falcons. Wilder also plays free safety for coach Melvin Pete's squad. Wilder talked with ScoutSouth.com about his recruitment.

"I'm hearing from LSU, Auburn, Alabama, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Georgia, Memphis, Iowa State and UAB," Marsellos Wilder said from Tuscaloosa, (Ala.).

"LSU, Alabama and Auburn are my favorites right now."

"Alabama--I like the way they are set up. I like the way they are organized. The way they treated me, they are interested in my academics. Auburn was okay. Only one coach, the wide receiver coach, showed any interest in me."

"I haven't visited LSU yet, but they are deep on wide receivers, so I don't know."

Wilder runs a 4.54 forty-yard dash. He benches 285-pounds and squats 530.

The wide receiver prospect talked about his strengths.

"Out-jumping, catching the ball," Wilder said. "Mostly mental. I can read coverages. I run real good crisp routes. I bring motivation to the team. I can inspire my teammates."

Wilder also plays soccer and basketball. The guard averages 12 points per game for Central's roundball squad.

He wants to study architectural engineering or business in college.

Wilder will attend the Scout.com All-American Combine May 26 in Atlanta.
