Bibb County at Demopolis

Coach Darryl Burns' Choctaws of Bibb County will travel to Demopolis to take on coach Tom Causey's Tigers. Coach Causey took over the Demopolis job when Coach Doug Goodwin departed for 5A Russellville.

Both teams have had a lot of success this year with Demopolis' only stumble coming against second ranked McAdory (5-0; 3-0) 17-6. That makes this game all the more important for the Tigers as they try to secure at least the second spot in Region 3.

The Choctaws boast the Unviersity of Georgia commitment Ben Jones. The senior offensive tackle is 6-3, 300-pounds and will lead the way for junior running back Zach Stacy who scored all seven touchdowns for Bibb County last week while gaining 164 yards on 22 attempts.

The Tigers aren't too bad on offense either. They have scored over 40 points in three of their five ball games. Quarterback Rick Boone and wide receiver Jeremy Wallace have been a productive combo. They will have to face a Bibb County defense that has put up three games where the opponents have scored single digits.

However, in their last game against 4A Jemison (1-4) the Choctaws allowed a surprising 38 points to their 45. Jemison scored only 33 points in their first four games combined. That was an out-of-region game and maybe a win is just a win, but they can't afford to let Demopolis do that to them. shows this as a one point game in favor of Bibb County. It should indeed be that good of a game. source for Alabama high school football.
