Caleb Mitchell Hears from Two
"Coach Caldwell called me last night. He was talking really favorable about me," Caleb Mitchell said from his home in Russellville, (Ala).
"He said they were looking forward to me visiting Vandy again very soon, and he invited me to come up for another game."
Caleb recorded another big game against the Black Bears, and with every big game the interest grows from various schools.
Mitchell recorded nine tackles from his safety positon, and one broken up pass. He also had a screen pass go for 33 yards and a touchdown in last week's contest.
Mitchell had six punt returns for touchdowns in 2006, but hasn't been fortunate enough to have many opportunities this season. When ScoutSouth.com asked Mitchell about his lack of success in the return game this season, he said; "I haven't been getting many balls kicked to me. Austin didn't kick, or punt it to me the entire game."
The Tigers from Auburn are keeping a watchful eye during Mitchell's senior season.
"Coach Dunn called me this week and invited me down this week for the Auburn game. He said Auburn was interested in me playing for them. He came up and watched me a couple weeks ago when we played Johnson," Mitchell explained.
"I'm going to try to make it to both schools this fall."
