North Jackson Still Unbeaten

North Jackson, the ASWA top-ranked 4A team in Alabama, remained undefeated in 2007, defeating the Columbia Eagles 42-7 in Stevenson.

Zack Stewart threw three touchdowns passes to three different receivers to lead the Chiefs offense. The North Jackson defense had a phenomenal game, holding the Eagles to only 73 yards total offense, including minus one yard on the ground.

Once again, Frankie Crabtree was all over the field, racking up 14 tackles in the game and recovering a fumble. Zack Hammontree was right behind with 12 stops for the Chiefs.

North Jackson took an early lead and never looked back in coasting to the win. The Chiefs had a 21-0 lead at the half and tacked on another 21 points in the remaining two quarters.

North Jackson had receiving TDs from Tana Patrick, Drew Hicks and Ty Shrader, and rushing touchdowns by Ron Gary, A.J. Matthews and Frankie Crabtree.

With the win, the Chiefs look to hold on to their top spot in the ASWA 4A poll, moving to 7-0 for the season, 5-0 in Region 7.

This week, the Chiefs will host the East Lawrence Eagles in another region game at R.D. Hicks Stadium. source for Alabama high school football.
