ScoutSouth.com: Beauregard vs. Loachapoka

Friday night's game between the Beauregard Hornets (6-3, 4-3) and the Indians of Loachapoka (8-1, 6-1) projects as a good one. Both teams bring in high powered offenses and score a lot of points.

Coach Smitty Grider's Hornets, led on offense by senior running back Willie Lampkin, average 212.4 rush yards per game and average over 26 points per contest. Lampkin has rushed for 1,014 yards so far this year and has found the endzone 14 times in just nine games.

Loachapoka lost their only game this year to Lanett 28-20, other than that they have played very well on offense and defense. The Indians offense is averaging over 31 points per game in nine games so far this season.

Coach Jerome Tate's defense has a great task at hand trying to stop Lampkin and the Hornet rushing attack, but his team only allows 8.5 points per game. The Indians have outscored opponents this year 284-77.

Defense is the key to this game. Both teams will bring it on offense. It is just a matter of who can hold the opponent when they need to the most.
