ScoutSouth.com: Cullman QB Tyler Caldwell

Tyler Caldwell led the Cullman (Ala.) Bearcats to the 5A semi-finals in 2007, and he put up gawdy numbers along the way. ScoutSouth.com has the latest news.

Tyler Caldwell completed 64.9 percent of his passes in 2007 connecting on 243 of 376 attempts for 31 touchdowns, six interceptions and 2,979 yards. He averaged 213 yards per game and 12.3 yards per reception.

Caldwell checks in with ScoutSouth.com at 6-2, 200 pounds. He reports his last 40-yard dash time as a 4.90. He is beginning to hear from some schools, and is hopeful to garner more interest with eventual scholarship offers in the future.

"I have talked to UAB, Troy, Alabama, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Memphis, Arkansas State and JSU," Caldwell said.

"Mississippi State came by the school and talked to my coach and got my transcripts. Memphis, Vandy and JSU have all asked for transcripts and film, and some Ivy League schools have been in asking for my transcripts, as well."

"I will be attending team camps at Troy and Samford this summer, but I haven't decided where I will go for my individual camps this summer."

"I'm really wide open to anything right now. I'll make a decision on some camps pretty soon."
