Decatur TE Back from Ole Miss

Brooks Johnson plays tight end at Decatur (Ala.) High School and has drawn interest of several programs around the South, including Ole Miss. Johnson tells ScoutSouth.com of his visit to Oxford, (Miss.).

"I went to Ole Miss March 20th and watched them practice," Brooks Johnson tells us from his home in Decatur, (Ala).

"I got to meet the tight ends' coach [James Shibest], and I really liked him. He told me he really liked my size and where I was at right now."

"I rode around campus, and I liked everything about Ole Miss. I liked the way they practiced. I toured the facilities. They were very, very nice. I also enjoyed watching the scrimmage while I was there."

Johnson doesn't have an offer at this time, but he does favor one team at the moment.

"If I had to choose a favorite I would have to say Auburn at this time. I like them mainly because of the way they use their tight ends, but I'm open to anyone," Johnson exclaimed.

Stay with ScoutSouth.com as we continue to follow Brooks Johnson and the Decatur Red Raiders throughout the 2008 football season.
