Etowah's Davin Hawkins

Davin Hawkins is a safety prospect in the 2010 class, and has the latest with the Etowah Blue Devil.

Davin Hawkins is being groomed as one of the top prospects in his graduating class, and he is already receiving interest from several top schools around the South.

"I am getting a lot of mail. That's about all I can do right now," Hawkins said. "I get a lot of mail from Alabama, Auburn, Miami, Tennessee and Ole Miss. They have all invited me to camp this summer."

"I haven't been able to take any visits this spring due to baseball. I have been busy with tournaments and games, so it has been hard to go anywhere."

"I have continued to work-out after baseball practice and on weekends. I'm 6-2, 208 right now. Me, David Hawkins (Davin's brother) and Kendrick Cook hit the weight room every chance we get."

Hawkins will attend the National Underclassmen Combine later this summer in Atlanta, where he will go against the top underclassmen in the East.

"My summer plans are to go to the Underclassmen Combine and go to camps at Alabama and Auburn. I am going to go to Tennessee or Ole Miss for a camp, also. I might go to another combine if I have time," Hawkins concluded.
