ScoutSouth.com: Wilson Van Hooser

Wilson Van Hooser, from Montgomery-Trinity Presbyterian, (Ala.), is a talented 5-11, 175-pound (4.50) wide receiver who caught 43 balls for 749 yards and 10 touchdowns during his junior campaign. Wilson tells ScoutSouth.com the latest developments in the recruiting process.

Van Hooser also turned in a 41.5 inch vertical and a 9' 11'' broad jump during a recent combine experience.

"I am going to Southern Miss for their Junior Day this weekend," Wilson Van Hooser said. "I'm going to meet up with Will Martin, Kevin Roberts and a couple more guys so we can hang out together while we're there."

"Auburn and Troy invited me to their Junior Day, but they were the same weekend we had our 7-on-7 camp at South Florida. I couldn't make it to either of them."

"I've talked to Troy some and Auburn a little bit too. They have invited me to camp with them, along with Georgia Tech. I have been hearing from those schools as well as Vanderbilt, Southern Miss and Tulane."

"I am just going to sit down with a list of camps I'm interested in and choose as many as I can get to. I would also like to make it to some combines if I can."

When we asked Wilson Van Hooser about a favorite school he was very up-front in his reply.

"I would go to Hawaii to play football. I just want to play somewhere," he stated.

Wilson Van Hooser was chosen as All-State honorable mention by the Montgomery Advertiser. He was first team All-Metro, and classes 1A-4A wide receiver of the year.
