Amos Draper Back from Tennessee

Amos Draper was virtually unheard of two months ago, but Coach Laron White knew he had a special player, so he set out to get the young man some looks by college coaches. After sending out film to several schools Draper has had little trouble garnering interest from college recruiters.

"I went to Tennessee for their spring game, and I really liked a lot up there," Amos Draper said from his home in Tanner, (Ala.). "I hope I end up there."

"We ate while we there, and then we watched the spring game. I talked to Coach Chavis and Coach Caldwell. They were telling me they really liked the way I played and how much they needed defensive ends."

"Coach Chavis said they would evaluate me after the season started, and they would likely offer me at that time."

"I would say Tennessee is at the top of my list after my visit there."

The talented defensive end is recovering nicely from knee surgery after the injury during basketball season.

"My knee is doing real good," he said. "Everything is right on schedule."
