Alabama DL's First Offer

Randon Carnathan is a 6-2, 265-pound work horse defensive lineman for Leads High School and has worked his way into his first offer.

"I got my first offer today when the Army recruiter came by our school and talked to some of our players. He told us about the academy and what they had to offer. He talked about the tradition of playing Navy and Air Force, and he showed us a schedule where they are getting Notre Dame back on the schedule," Randon Carnathan stated.

"I enjoyed the visit, and I'm honored to have an offer from Army."

"We had several recruiters come by our school in the past week, and I have talked to South Alabama, Army and Southern Mississippi."

Randon discussed each school with

South Alabama: "Coach Bill Clark came by the school and talked to us. They offered Tony Threatt a scholarship and took my highlight film with them. They invited me to their camp, and they talked to us about the facilities and that kind of stuff. I liked Coach Clark, and I think South Alabama might offer me soon."

Southern Miss: "They came by the school. They invited us to camp and they said they were coming back to watch our spring game May 16th."

While Carnathan is excited to have his first offer he hopes more will follow. He will try to impress college coaches this summer.

"I have been an Alabama fan all my life, and I'm looking forward to going there for the camp. I also want to make it clear that I am wide open to any school that has an offer for me. If they're interested in me I'm interested in them," Carnathan concluded.

Carnathan was scheduled to return to Tennessee last Saturday, but did not make the trip. He hopes to visit Tennessee again soon.
