"I got one (offer) from Middle Tennessee State," Arthur Williams said. "Southern Miss is close to offering too."
"The guy from Middle Tennessee came to my school and said they really liked what they saw. He said I would fit in perfect with their offense, and that I am a great athlete."
One school that seems to have taken the lead, despite an official offer, is Southern Mississippi.
"Coach Kap [Chris Kapilovic] said I was on the top wideouts on their board. He said they wanted to offer, and I would be hearing back from them soon," Willaims said.
"Southern Miss is my favorite right now. I am real comfortable with the way everything is set-up over there. I would say they have a lead over Middle Tennessee. Southern runs the spread just like Middle Tennessee. So right now, it is those two out front."
Williams said he hasn't heard much from the two in-state SEC schools, Alabama and Auburn.
"I haven't really heard anything from Alabama," he said. "They send me some mail, but other than that I haven't heard anything."
"I used to talk to coach [James] Willis at Auburn, but lately I haven't heard from him. I had planned on going to their camp a few weeks ago, but I had the ACT on that day. One of my friends at the camp said they were asking about me though."
"Tulane and Mississippi State called and talked to my coach. I am supposed to be hearing from them soon too," Williams added.
Williams reports a 3.0 G.P.A and projects to qualify academically. He currently reports scholarship offers from Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Middle Tennessee State.
