Alabama CB Reports Offers

Courtney Freeman, from Parker High School in Birmingham, Ala., claims offers from Auburn and Colorado as the talented cornerback talked about the two schools along with his favorites.

"I have offers from Colorado and Auburn," Courtney Freeman said. "I am just waiting right now to see if I can get some better offers."

"Colorado offered me at the beginning of the summer. They have a good program. I went there and visited last fall. I can see myself going there. I am just waiting right now."

"Auburn offered me during football season. They have been in contact with my defensive coordinator (Jeff Jackson). They want me to come to a camp. We have practice today, and I am going to talk to my coach about it."

Freeman, growing up just an hour from Tuscaloosa, admitted he has been a fan of Alabama since he was a pre-teen.

"I have liked Alabama since I was 12," he said. "I really followed Simeon Castille and D.J. Hall. But actually, I started following them after watching Shaun Alexander. He is one of my favorite players."

"Alabama and Tennessee are my favorite schools right now. I camped at 'Bama back during the Nike camp. The coaches said they liked the way I covered on defense. They were asking about my grades and whether or not I have taken the ACT. They want me to come back to their next camp."

Speaking of grades, Freeman said, "My grades are good. I haven't made any Ds or Fs. I think I will be OK."
