ACA's Matthew Lindsey talks recruiting

Matthew Lindsey, from American Christian Academy in Tuscaloosa, (Ala.), is a offensive line prospect at 6-3, 283-pounds projecting as a guard or center at the next level. The big man reports 43 knock down blocks and 23 pancakes during his junior season.

Matthew Lindsey has caught the eye of college recruiters around the South, and he has a long list of schools showing interest including Vanderbilt, Southern Miss, Mississippi State, South Alabama, Alabama, Auburn, Troy and UAB.

"I went to camp at Vanderbilt, and it was real good. The camp was very organized, and everything was set up nicely," Matthew Lindsey said. "We got in a lot of good work and Coach Caldwell taught me some things that will help me this season in my pass and run blocking."

"We (some teammates) are going to MSU to the lineman camp July 11th and 12th. They have been sending me a lot of letters and staying in contact with me. I'm looking forward to seeing what I can do at the camp," Lindsey stated.

"Southern Miss is also recruiting me, and they have been recruiting me pretty hard. I talked to them a few days ago. They told me they have me on their watch list, and they want me to come to camp July 18th and 19th."

"Coach Tim Bowens from UAB stays in contact with me, and Coach Craig from South Alabama came by and talked to me. I was going to camp at South, but it was the same day of the Vandy camp."
