"It's (recruiting) going pretty well right now," Mathew Lindsey reported from his home in Tuscaloosa, (Ala.).
"I still have Southern Miss as my favorite, but I haven't closed the door on any school," Lindsey explained.
"I still talk to coach Art Kaufman and coach Kaps [Chris Kapilovic] pretty often. They tell me to just be patient. They want me to send film after the first few games, as well. If someone falls off their board I will get an offer. That is my understanding," he said.
"Florida State has recently started sending me mail. They said they needed offensive linemen, and they want me to send them my film after the first couple of games. I emailed coach [Rick] Trickett the other day, but I haven't heard back from him."
"I still talk to coach Caldwell at Vanderbilt, but nothing has really changed since I went to camp up there. They want film after the season begins, too."
"I also called coach Dameyune Craig last week. He wanted to talk with me, and he was telling me the University South Alabama was interested in me. He wants me to stay in contact with him, and he wants my film, also."
"I've thought about how cool it would be to become part of the first football team at South Alabama. It would be something you could tell your grandkids about."
"Matthew Lindsey is happy with his recruitment to this point.
"I am just going to continue to work hard. Recruiting will take care of itself if I do that," the big offensive lineman stated.
