"It went pretty well," Matthew Lindsey told ScoutSouth.com from his home in Tuscaloosa (Ala.).
"They are running a new offense, and they have a new staff. I think they have some things to work out, but I'm sure they will get that accomplished," Lindsey stated.
"They [Southern Miss] told me I was on their board, but I was not an early offer prospect. They told me that it was possible I would get an offer, if not likely."
"I don't have any offers at this time, but I'm going to send out my film after our first three games, and I hope something will happen after that."
"I will send my film to all the D-1 schools in the Southeast, and a few more D-2 schools. South Alabama offered one of my teammates [James Sandlin] last week, and I was hoping to hear from them. I talk to coach Craig pretty often, and he tells me to just be patient."
"One of the coaches from Samford came by the school last week, and he told me he would be getting back to me soon. I have a visit planned to UNA [North Alabama] next week. One of my coaches played there, and he thought I should go up there just to take a look around. I'm looking forward to that."
The Patriots have started the season strong defeating Aliceville 45-8, and last week they continued to dominate their opponent in a 54-7 win over Thorsby.
American Christian will host Shades Mountain this Friday with kickoff set for 7:00 PM.
