SEC Pubs: Players of the Week 2

The SEC publishers have made their selections for the top performers from last weekend's games. See who they tabbed as best-of-the-best for Week 2 of college football in the SEC.

Offensive Player of the Week: Jevan Snead, Ole Miss
The Rebels came out on the losing end of the contest against Wake Forest, 30-28, but Jevan Snead made a statement to the SEC with his four touchdown performance.

Defensive Player of the Week: Patrick Benoist, Vanderbilt
The Commodores defeated South Carolina 24-17 with the help of Benoist's defensive performance. He recorded 15 tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss yardage and a pass deflection.

Special Teams Player of the Week: Javier Arenas, Alabama
Alabama defeated Tulane 20-6 with the help of Javier Arenas' school-record special teams performance. He recorded 141 yards on four punt returns in the first half of play. He ended the night with 147 yards on five touches with a touchdown return of 87-yards.

Newcomer of the Week: Joe Adams, Arkansas
Adams hauled in seven receptions for 89 yards with two key catches in the fourth quarter in the comeback win over Louisiana-Monroe 28-27.
