Mike Marrow talks about the Tide

Mike Marrow is a 6-1, 235-pound prospect from Central Catholic High School, in Toledo Ohio, and he is committed to the University of Alabama. He discussed the Crimson Tide, his future plans and his commitment.

"I got to watch the Alabama/Georgia game on TV," Mike Marrow said from his home in Toledo (OH.). "It was the first game I watched this year. I'm up here in Big 10 country, so I don't get to watch a lot of SEC football."

"I thought Alabama looked real good on both sides of the ball. The defense really looked good against the run. They stopped Knowshon Moreno all night long. I thought he was injured when big Terrence Cody fell on top of him. He got up slow."

Marrow committed to Alabama June 20th, but a lot of schools are still seeking his services.

"I would say Penn State, Michigan State, Nebraska and Michigan are recruiting me harder than anyone else. I still get mail and phone calls from South Florida, Illinois, and some from Ohio State. Ohio State and a lot of other schools backed off a lot after I committed to Alabama," Marrow stated.

Is there any chance Mike Marrow goes somewhere other than Alabama?

"No, it's Alabama for sure," Marrow said.

Marrow also talked about why he chose Alabama over the other schools who offered.

"I have always liked the SEC," he said. "No matter the team you're playing you will face the best talent in the country each week. Every game is huge down there. It's like you're playing the national championship game almost every week."

"My Dad likes Coach [Nick] Saban a lot. Coach Saban helped my Dad make it in the NFL. When we went to Alabama last summer I got to meet Coach Saban and all the other coaches on staff there, and I liked all of them. They all seem like good guys, and I feel like they're one of the best coaching staffs in the country."

"I also wanted to get my decision out of the way before our season started so I could concentrate on football."

Marrow also gave his opinion of the Alabama/Kentucky game this Saturday.

"If Alabama comes out and plays like they did against Georgia, Alabama should win," Marrow concluded.
