D.J. Fluker talks Tide, recruiting

D.J. Fluker is a 6-6, 327-pound offensive lineman at Foley High School, and he recently talked to ScoutSouth.com about the Crimson Tide's upcoming game with the Kentucky Wildcats.

"I watched the Georgia game on TV," D.J. Fluker said from his home in Foley, (Ala.).

"I thought Alabama looked good on both sides of the ball. They played well overall."

Fluker also discussed Alabama's upcoming game with Kentucky.

"I think Alabama will beat Kentucky hands-down," he stated. "I mean, they beat Georgia, and they were supposed to be one of the best teams in the country."

While Fluker was the first commitment for Coach Nick Saban's 2009 signing class it hasn't stopped LSU from trying to lure him away from the Tide.

"LSU is still coming at me hard. They want me to come over there for a visit, but I'm still committed to Alabama right now," Fluker noted.

Foley will travel this Friday night to take on a 2-3 Daphne team. Foley enters the contest at 4-1 with their only loss coming in the first game of the season. It was a 14-3 contest, with the decision going to Murphy.

Fluker talked about this week's match-up, and the season at the half-way point.

"We are having a pretty good season, so far," he said. "I think I have played pretty well through the first part of the season."

"We play Daphne, at Daphne this week. It's always a big game, and it should be a good game. They have a pretty good team."
