Alex Aldridge
6-0, 175 pounds
Senior Quarterback/Defensive Back
1A Berry 5-0 (4-0)

Aldridge completed 14-of-21 pass attempts for 336 yards with two touchdown passes and a two-point conversion in a 50-6 win over Brilliant. He ran the ball 11 times for 114 yards and three touchdowns. Aldridge had 450 all-purpose yards on offense. Defensively, the senior had 15 tackles including 12 solo.

Berry will travel this week to Parrish 0-5 (0-5).

Juwan Rogers
5-10, 195 pounds
Junior Running Back/Linebacker
2A Vincent 4-1 (2-1)

Rogers had 26 carries for 244 yards and three touchdowns in the Yellow Jackets' 35-6 win over Winterboro. Rogers also caused a fumble and tallied 12 tackles on defense.

Vincent will play a region game this week at home against Thorsby 0-5 (0-3).

Dez Polk
5-9, 165 pounds
Senior Running Back
1A Speake 4-1 (4-1)

Polk put in another flashy performance against Shoals Christian with seven carries for 122 yards and two touchdowns. He caught two passes for 46 yards and a touchdown. Polk ran back a punt return for 70 yards and a touchdown. That's 10 touches and four scores with the Bobcats winning 53-19.

Speake will visit Meek 1-4 (1-3) this week.

6-5, 200 pounds

2A Leroy 5-0 (3-0)

Bracy carried the ball 12 times for 134 yards and three touchdowns against an undefeated 4A Jackson team. Bracy tacked on 15 yards on three catches and had 139 return yards on four touches. He had six tackles and two pass breakups on defense.

The incredible Moseley completed 15-of-20 pass attempts for 215 yards and scored a touchdown. He ran for 81 yards on 15 carries with three touchdowns. The senior also doubles as the place kicker, and he kicked five extra points and ran for one conversion.

The top-ranked Leroy Bears will visit Excel 3-2 (3-0) this week for the top spot in region 1.

5-10, 175 pounds

Hubbard 4-1 (4-1)

Hubbard is five games into their nine game region run. Ingram had 12 tackles, one sack, two interceptions and a 34-yard touchdown reception against Waterloo.

Garth had 174 yards and two touchdowns in the 41-0 win. He also returned a punt 55 yards for a touchdown.

Hubbard will play their sixth region game at home against Mount Hope 1-3 (1-3)

Taylor Thrash
5-10, 175 pounds
Junior Running Back
2A Fyffe 4-1 (2-1)

Thrash had 151 yards rushing on 18 carries in the 27-14 win over Gordon Lee (GA). Thrash accounted for three touchdowns. He had four tackles and broke up a pass play on defense.

Fyffe has been on the road four of their first five games of the season. They begin a two game home stretch this week against Section 2-3 (0-3).

Randon Carnathan
6-2, 265 pounds
Senior Defensive End/Fullback
3A Leeds 5-0 (3-0)

The South Alabama verbal commitment had seven tackles with two for a loss of yards and two sacks. The senior also blocked a punt and scored two touchdowns on offense.

Leeds will host Pleasant Valley 3-2 (2-1) this week in Region 5 play.

Adam Mitchell
6-0, 180 pounds

2A Phil Campbell 1-4 (0-3)

The Bobcats got their first win of the season last week and not a moment too early against 1A Vina, 41-15. Benford completed eight of 10 pass attempts for 288 yards and four touchdowns of 33, 21, 28 and 66 yards. The sophomore ran for another 73 yards on 14 carries and added a 24-yard touchdown run.

Mitchell accumulated 11 tackles, kicked three extra points, caught two passes for 54 yards and two touchdowns.

Phil Campbell won't have it easy this week when region leader Red Bay 3-2 (3-0) comes calling.

1A Cedar Bluff 4-1 (3-0)

Region 6 is led by Cedar Bluff and Gaston both at 3-0. Cedar Bluff hosted 3A Weaver last week and came away with a convincing 42-21 victory. Crane compiled 203 total yards with 10 completed passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns. He rushed for 115 yards on 20 carries for two touchdowns.

Boswell had a total of 178 yards, rushing for 167 on 17 carries with two touchdowns. He also had an 11-yard reception. The senior had four tackles with one for a loss of yards on defense.

Cedar Bluff will host Collinsville 2-3 (1-3) this week.

Marcus Jackson
5-10, 170 pounds
Sophomore Running Back/Linebacker
2A Goshen 2-3 (1-3)

The youngster led his teammates in an upset of perennial favorite Pike County with 230 yards on 17 carries and touchdown runs of 9, 15, 44, 40, and 43 yards. He also caught a 16-yard pass and kicked two extra points. Jackson also had 10 tackles and an interception returned for 68 yards on defense.

Goshen travels this week to R.C. Hatch 3-2 (2-1).

Jermaine "Juicy" Williams
5-9, 175 pounds
Senior Running Back
3A Slocomb 4-1 (3-0)

The senior rushed for 342 yards on 26 carries with four touchdowns in a win over undefeated 2A Houston Academy 42-17. Williams had touchdown runs of 58, 25, 40, and 27 yards. He also had a 54-yard run before being stopped on the one-yard line.

Slocomb will attempt to keep their region record perfect this week when they visit Daleville 4-1 (3-0).

Honorable Mention:

Adam McCarley, 1A Phillips Bear Creek, senior quarterback/free safety, completed 11-of-21 passes for 155 yards and a touchdown. He rushed for 107 yards on 17 carries and two touchdowns. Nine tackles two pass breakups on defense in a loss to Hazlewood 50-36.

Matt Wilson, 1A Phillips Bear Creek, senior fullback/linebacker, 14 carries for 60 yards and a touchdown, caught one pass for a two-point conversion, made 12 tackles on defense and caused a fumble.

Trey Littlefield, 1A Spring Garden, junior running back, 18 carries fir 232 yards and four touchdowns. He also had a two-point conversion in the win over White Plains

Kevin Callender, 3A Montevallo, 433 total yards, 213 yards passing on six completed of 10 attempts and touchdown passes of 58, 66 and 64 yards. He rushed for 220 yards and three touchdown runs of 9, 64 and 77 yards in a win over West Blocton.

Matt Sandlin, 2A American Christian Academy, junior quarterback completed 17-of-28 passes for 338 yards and three touchdowns. He ran for a three-yard touchdown in a win over Southern Choctaw.

Steadman Shealy, 2A American Christian Academy, senior wide receiver caught seven passes for 186 yards and a touchdown.

John Lawson, 3A Cottage Hill, quarterback, 414 yards passing on 17 completions from 29 tries in a win over A.L. Johnson.

Jacob Little, 1A Maplesville, senior linebacker recorded 15 tackles (two for a loss), one sack, and one fumble recovery in a win over Autaugaville.

Blake Robinson, 2A Addison, running back rushed for 193 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries in a win over Meek.

Josh Johnson, 2A Winston County, running back rushed for 185 yards on 13 carries with two touchdowns in a win over Carbon Hill.

Benjamin Brooks, 3A Sumter County, senior linebacker had 19 tackles against in a loss to Thomasville.

Justin Brock, 1A South Lamar, senior running back/linebacker rushed for 170 yards and three touchdowns. Brock had a fourth touchdown on an 82-yard kick return in a win over Parrish.

 Nathan Funk, 1A South Lamar, fullback/linebacker led the team with 17 tackles on defense. The senior had 80 yards rushing with a touchdown on offense. He also punted for a 45-yard average.

Caleb Massey, 2A Sulligent, senior quarterback had nine rushes for 69 yards and a touchdown. He completed nine of 15 passint attempts for 236 yards and a touchdown in a win over Winfield.

Steven Stewart, 2A Sulligent, sophomore running back, 11 rushes for 70 yards and a touchdown. Three catches for 93 yards and two touchdowns.

Wesley Black, 2A Zion Chapel, sophomore running back with 24 rushes for 206 yards and six touchdowns. He also returned a punt for a 46-yard touchdown, completed a pass for 21 yards and added four tackles on defense.

Norman Craig, 2A Isabella, senior running back/wide receiver/strong safety had seven carries for 90 yards and two touchdowns. Craig had two receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown while adding eight tackles on defense in their win over Verbena.

Brian Donovan, 2A Isabella, senior running back had 19 carries for 215 yards and a touchdown.

Mandale Lee, 2A Horseshoe Bend, senior wide receiver/running back/strong safety had three receptions for 99 yards and a touchdown. He also had one touchdown run of 55 yards, one interception returned for a 45-yard touchdown and a kickoff return for a 65-yard touchdown against Thorsby.

Josh Price, 2A Horseshoe Bend, junior quarterback passed for 175 yards completing nine of 14 passing attempts and three touchdowns.

Timothy Marable, 1A Wadley, senior linebacker/running back had 16 tackles, 10 solo (17 last week against TCC) and scored three touchdowns this week in a win over Woodland.

Austin Silcox, 1A J.U. Blacksher, sophomore linebacker had 11 tackles, three for a loss of yardage and one forced fumble in a loss to McKenzie.

Chace Godwin, 1A J.U. Blacksher, junior quarterback/defensive back had 11 carries for 98 yards, passed for 153 yards. One tackle, one pass breakup and an interception on defense.
