Prospects Visiting No. 2 Tide

Alabama is coming off a big win in Athens (41-30), and recruits across the region are eager to see the Tide this weekend at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Kentucky Wildcats arrive undefeated for a classic SEC match-up. We take a look at several of the prospects expected Saturday afternoon.


Trent Richardson
Out-of-state commitments:
Trent Richardson, five-star running back from Pensacola-Escambia, Fla., Rod Woodson, four-star safety from Olive Branch, Miss., Michael Bowman, three-star receiver from Rossville-Ridgeland-Ga., Chance Warmack, three-star offensive guard from Atlanta-Westlake, Ga., and Kellen Williams, three-star offensive tackle from Snellville-Brookwood, Ga.

In-state commitments:
AJ McCarron, four-star quarterback from St. Paul's, William Ming, four-star defensive end from Athens, Quinton Dial, three-star defensive tackle from Clay-Chalkville, and Anthony Orr, three-star defensive tackle from Sparkman.

Official Visitor:
Stephon Gilmore, four-star cornerback from Rock Hill-South Point, (S.C.) is scheduled for an official visit. Gilmore lists three favorites as Alabama, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Five-Star prospects:
Dre Kirkpatrick, five-star cornerback and Kendall Kelly, five-star wide receiver from Gadsden City.

Other uncommitted prospects:
Tana Patrick, four-star strongside linebacker from Stevenson-North Jackson has confirmed, and Tim Simon, three-star strongside linebacker from Cordova, is still on the Tide's radar and expected.

Class of 2010 in-state prospects:
Solomon Patton, wide receiver from Murphy, Demont Buice, running back from Gaston, Quinterrious Eatmon, offensive tackle from Vigor, Trett Hardman, quarterback from Cullman-Fairview, D.J. Howard, running back from Lincoln, Jeremy Richardson, wide receiver from Springville, Steven Rivers, quarterback from Decatur-Austin and Ryan Smith, quarterback from Cordova.


Kevin Norwood
Out-of-state uncommitted class of 2009:
Chad Bumphis, four-star wide receiver from Tupelo, Miss., is confirmed. Kevin Norwood, three-star wide receiver from Biloxi-D'Iberville, Miss., is considering a visit but has not scheduled a trip as of yet.

Justin Jones, tight end from Conyers-Heritage, Ga., recently de-committed from Kentucky. Jones had strong interest in the Tide before making a commitment to the Wildcats. He will travel Saturday to the game along with Demond Dennis, running back from Atlanta-Carver, Ga.

Out-of-state: Georgia 2010 prospects:
Alec Ogletree, safety from Newnan, and Markeith Ambles, wide receiver from Henry County, may rank as the state's top two players in 2010. Both are expected to visit Tuscaloosa. Others projected to make the trip include Jonathan Watters, quarterback from Lindale-Pepperell, Desmond Brown, safety from Rome-Model, Victor Beasely, wide receiver from Adairsville, and Denzel McCoy, defensive tackle from Duluth-Northview.

Other 2010 out-of-state prospects:
Chad Lindsay (6-4, 305), offensive guard from The Woodlands, Texas, and Damien Robinson (6-8, 330), offensive tackle from Olive Branch, Miss. Lindsay and Robinson have offers from Alabama.

This is an unofficial list of several visitors expected in Tuscaloosa. Other players are projected to attend, but not confirmed.
