Satsuma's Greg Brown

Greg Brown is a 5-11, 185-pound running back from Satsuma, (Ala.), and he recently started receiving interest from several schools around the area. ScoutSouth.com caught up with him earlier this week, and he shared his thoughts about his recruitment, and his season.

"My season has been great with the exception of being sidelined for two weeks with a bruised thigh," Greg Brown said from his home in Satsuma, (Ala.).

"I had rushed for 540 yards and five touchdowns before missing those two games. I have 15 receptions, but I'm not sure about my yardage."

"We have a big game coming up this week, which will let us know if we are in the playoffs. If we win, we are in, but if we lose we are out. We play Fairhope."

Brown and some of his teammates have sparked the interest of some college recruiters around the region. Brown discusses the schools who are recruiting him as of late.

"I am being recruited by Arkansas State, Alabama State, Nichols State, Southern, Middle Tennessee, and I have received a few letters from Alabama," he stated.

"I would say Arkansas State and Alabama State are recruiting me harder than anyone else at this point. I have a visit set up with Alabama State on November 4th, and I am going to visit Arkansas State and Nichols State too. I'm not sure when I will take those visits."

"I talk to the coaches at all those schools pretty often. I talk to Coach [Derrick] Burroughs at Alabama State pretty often. He says they really like me as a running back, and the running back coach [Lance Bruner] really likes the way I run."

"The other schools basically tell me the same things, but Alabama State is probably working a little harder than the others right now," Brown concluded.
