Satsuma's Daniel Manning

Daniel Manning is a 5-9, 185-pound cornerback from Satsuma, (Ala.), and he is receiving a lot of interest from college recruiters in the region. He talked with about his future, and his plans to visit two schools in the coming weeks.

"I have been invited to attend the UABEast Carolina game in Birmingham," Daniel Manning said from his home in Satsuma, (Ala.).

"I haven't talked to UAB a lot, but they keep inviting me to a game. They want to talk to me while I'm there for my visit."

"I have also been invited to Southern Miss when they play East Carolina. It is similar to the UAB situation. I haven't talked to Southern Miss all that often, but they want me to come in for a visit. Both schools like my speed."

"I went to a camp last summer at South Alabama, and I really enjoyed it there. It was a tough camp with three or four sessions each day. It lasted two days, and I thought it went well."

"I talked to Coach Joey Jones and Coach Dameyune Craig while I was there, and they really liked my speed and cover ability. I am supposed to talk to Coach Craig again this week. I liked all the coaches at South Alabama, especially Coach Craig."

Manning has been slowed a little this season due to an injury.

"I suffered a shoulder injury the second week of our season," he explained. "The injury has limited me as far as playing offense, but I have played a lot of defense. The shoulder is fine now, and I'm looking forward to finishing my season on a strong note."
