The 1A-3A schools have given us great performances, and our top performer of the week in the state of Alabama. presents the Stars of Alabama for Week 10. Player of the Week: Tommy Raley-Hicks

Hubbertville's (4-5) senior running back, Tommy Haley-Ricks (6-0 225 pounds), ran away with the Player of the Week honors, setting two state records in his team's winning swan song against 1A Vina. The epic game resulted in a 76-52 basketball score.

Haley-Ricks carried the ball 24 times and gained 420 yards with eight touchdowns.

The senior scored on runs of 7, 64, 13, 60, 55, 41, 35 and 7 yards. He also scored on a 49-yard reception. His 58 points set a state record as did his nine touchdowns.

Haley-Ricks rushed for over 1,200 yards last season, and this season 2,204 yards.

Clint Moseley
Senior Quarterback
6-4, 195 pounds
2A Leroy 10-0 (7-0)

Moseley completed 22-of-29 pass attempts for 319 yards, two touchdowns (25 and 29 yards) and a two-point conversion under intense pressure from top-ranked 1A Sweet Water. The big quarterback prospect was sacked six times facing a defense that has twice limited an opposing team to a negative 100 yards rushing. Moseley still managed a rushing touchdown on the night and a 28-21 win.

The top-ranked team out of Region 1 will host the fourth seed from Region 2, Elba 7-3 (4-3).

Jamar Hopson
6-0, 205 pounds

1A Billinsley 8-2 (6-2)

Hopson had another fantastic outing in the 31-14 win over 4A Dallas County 31-14. The senior had 245 yards rushing on 17 carries with three touchdowns including an 80-yard score.

Billingsley is the third seed in Region 3 behind a powerful twosome of Linden and Maplesville. They will travel to face Coach Randy Sparks and once-defeated Wadley 9-1 (6-1) out or Region 4.

Kendrick Chappell
6-4, 230 pounds
Senior Running Back/Linebacker
1A Autaugaville 3-7

Chappell is a big guy, and he played big in the Eagles' upset win over playoff-bound 2A St. Jude, 28-26. The senior led a ferocious comeback in the second half from a 26-6 deficit. He rushed for 229 yards (187 second-half yards) on 42 carries with three touchdowns and the game winning two-point conversion.

Stephen Walker
6-2, 185 pounds
Senior Running Back/Linebacker
1A Brantley 10-0 (7-0)

Walker and his fellow Bulldogs faced defeat by 3A Daleville last week, but turned back the challenge in the 26-24 win. Walker rushed for 101 yards and scored two touchdowns of 5 and 16 yards. However, the senior would save the best for last. With seven seconds left in the game, Daleville lined up to kick a field goal and hand the Dogs their first loss of the season. Walker blocked the effort to leave the Bulldogs' perfect record in tact.

This is the fifth time Brantley has finished the regular season undefeated in the last decade.

The Region 2 champion will host Region 1 fourth-seeded Marengo 6-3 (4-3).

Thomas Washington
5-10, 195 pounds

1A Cedar Bluff 8-2 (6-1)

Washington rushed for 143 yards on 21 carries with two touchdowns in the 42-14 win.

Cedar Bluff is the second seed out of a tough Region 6. They will host Victory Christian from Region 5.

Calvin Fenn
5-9, 205 pounds
Senior Linebacker/Fullback
2A Barbour County 8-2 (6-1)

Fenn rang up 10 tackles against 4A Bullock County in a 14-6 victory. He rushed for 124 yards on 17 carries and a touchdown.

Barbour County is the top seed from Region 2. They will host fourth-seeded Washington County 5-5 (4-3).

Ben Endress
6-0, 200 pounds
Junior Linebacker
2A Clay County 10-0 (7-0)

Endress and company wowed the state's football watchers last week with a 35-7 domination of 4A Lincoln. Endress had 11 tackles, with six solo, and an interception. The junior had four tackles on special teams.

The top-ranked team out of Region 5 will host the fourth seed Region 6 West End-Walnut Grove.

Marcus Glanton
6-0, 225 pounds

2A Cottonwood 6-4

The Bears will not play in the post season this year, but they went out with a win over 3A Dale County 20-15. Glanton recorded 14 total tackles, three for a loss of yardage and two sacks.

Ethan Carroll
6-1, 180 pounds
Senior Wide Receiver
2A Horseshoe Bend 3-7

Carroll took down four receptions for 151 yards and two touchdowns in the loss to undefeated 3A Dadeville. This was the senior's last game for the Generals.

Jared Washington
6-2, 275 pounds

James Harris
6-5, 190 pounds

2A Lanett 7-3 (6-1)

Lanett lost the battle against 3A LaFayette 20-15, but will continue the war this week in the state playoffs. Washington recorded 14 total tackles with nine solo takedowns.

Harris caught four passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns on the rainy night.

Coach Ronnie Sikes' Panthers are the second seed in Region 5 behind world-beater Clay County. They will host Fyffe 7-3 (6-2) from Region 6.

Amos Draper
6-3, 220 pounds
Senior Defensive End
2A Tanner 10-0 (7-0)

Draper led his team to a 24-9 win over a region winning 3A Elkmont. The senior had 12 tackles, a sack and a pass breakup.

The Region 8 champion will host fourth-seed Oakman 5-5 (3-4) this week out of Region 7.

Brian Park
5-11, 180 pounds
Senior Quarterback
2A Westminster Christian 4-6

Park played his last game against 1A Parkway Christian and came away with a 48-0 win. Park completed 15-of-20 passing attempts for 248 yards and three touchdowns. He ran for three more scores in his 40-yard rushing total. Park has passed for over 2,800 yards this season.

Michael Thompson
5-9, 175 pounds

3A Headland 2-8

Thompson threw in a winner in his last game with a win over 2A Houston County 24-18. He ran for 217 yards on 24 carries scoring three touchdowns. The Rams were losing 7-6 at halftime, but managed to pull out the win.

Chase Childers
5-11, 190 pounds

3A Piedmont 8-2 (6-1)

Childers didn't have to put the ball in the air much, but was effective when he did. The junior completed seven of nine attempts for 193 yards and three touchdowns (59, 30 and 15 yards). He rushed for 88 yards on 12 carries and added three more scores on runs of 12, 1 and 23 yards.

The Bulldogs came in second in Region 5 behind the undefeated Green Wave of Leeds. They will host the third seed from Region 6, Sardis 7-3 (5-2)

Jermaine "Juicy" Williams
5-9, 175 pounds
Senior Running Back
3A Slocomb 8-2 (6-1)

Williams carried a lot of the weight in his teams' 35-14 win over 1A Geneva County, 35-14. Williams ran the ball 31 times for 251 yards and three touchdowns.

Slocomb is the second seed from Region 2. They will host a tough third-seed, Straughn 8-2 (5-2), from Region 1.

Trent Williams
5-10, 160 pounds

1A Phillips, Bear Creek 7-3 (5-3)

This consistent duo go into the playoffs with a 48-14 win over 1A Brilliant. McCarley had 12 carries for 109 yards, scoring on a two-point conversion. The senior completed 18-of-32 pass attempts for 304 yards and six touchdowns. He threw in two tackles on defense for good measure.

Williams caught five passes for 119 yards and three touchdowns. He made five tackles, broke up a pass and recovered a fumble on defense.

Phillips, Bear Creek claimed the fourth seed in a very competitive Region 8. They will travel to play the top seed in Region 7, South Lamar 7-3 (7-1).
