Tigers hope to avoid the Bull

Tallassee travels to the coast to face the Toros of Spanish Fort.

The Toros were 0-10 their first year, but in Bryant Vincent's two years following, the Toros have improved with lightning quick speed to a 9-1 finish this season. They will host Coach Rodney Dollar's Tigers from Tallassee who finished the season 7-3 (5-2) with a strong 37-13 win over 4A Holtville.

Coach Dollar talked with this week about what he is facing.

"They have 28 seniors," Dollar said. "We're expecting it to be wet weather, so we've got to hang on to the ball."

Then talk moved to his team. "We have had a good season," he added. "We have played well on the road."

They will need to do that with junior Mike Smith (5-9 175) at running back. He has rushed for 1,255 yards this season. Their leading tackler is sophomore middle linebacker T.C. Robinson (6-0 220) with 146 tackles.

Tyler Grant is a master of all trades. The 6-0 175-pound senior plays quarterback, running back, slot receiver and defensive back.
