Russellville's Ryan Romans talks semifinals

Ryan Romans is a 6-1.5, 170-pound junior cornerback for the Russellville Golden Tigers, and he shared his thoughts on Friday's semifinal contest with the Cullman Bearcats, as well as recruiting.

""We have to go out and play hard on defense," Ryan Romans told from his home in Russellville, (Ala.).

"We have to play like we know how to play--as a team. We need to run to the ball, and everyone needs to stay at home and do their job on defense," he said.

"Our secondary needs to be prepared, because they do like to throw the ball a pretty good bit. They also run the ball well, so we need to play a very solid game on defense. I think we match up with them. We just need to play like we are capable of playing."

"We aren't going to change anything for them. We are just going to need to play well, and we will be fine."

Romans is a junior defensive back, and he is receiving some early interest from around the area.

"I am getting some interest from Georgia Tech and Mississippi State," he said. "I get letters and stuff from both schools."

"I went over and watched the Georgia Tech-Virginia game a few weeks ago, and I really liked it over there. I liked the stadium, and the campus was nice. I was supposed to tour the campus, but I got there late. I missed out on the tour," Romans said in closing.
