Josh Hollingsworth to AL/MS All-Star Game

Josh Hollingsworth was chosen as an alternate for the Alabama All-Star roster, so he figured his opportunity to play in the game was gone. A recent development has awarded Hollingsworth the opportunity to play one more high school game before he becomes a Bulldog.

Josh Hollingsworth is a Mississippi State commitment, and he is one of two quarterbacks scheduled to play in the upcoming Alabama – Mississippi All-Star Game in Mobile, (Ala.).

Hollingsworth discussed the opportunity with ScoutSouth.com.

"Cullen Whacker has suffered an injury, and I will take his place on the roster," Hollingsworth told ScoutSouth.com from his home in Hamilton, (Ala.).

"I have always wanted to play in this game, but once I was named as an alternate I never thought about it again until I found out Cullen was injured. I'm excited about it, and I'm looking forward to playing in the game."

ScoutSouth.com talked with Hollingsworth immediately following a visit from a member of the Mississippi State coaching staff.

"Coach Campbell just came by to see how I was doing. We discussed the situation at Mississippi State. He doesn't know who they are going to bring in, or if he will even have a job when they hire a coach. Things are a little uncertain right now," Hollingsworth stated.

"I haven't talked to Coach [Sylvester] Croom since he resigned, but I sure would like to talk to him."

Josh Hollingsworth, like many of the Mississippi State commitments, is still waiting to see what the future holds for them at MSU.
