Tony Threatt still receiving offers

Tony Threatt and teammate Randon Carnathan committed to Coach Joey Jones and the South Alabama Jaguars earlier in the process, but that hasn't stopped others from coming after the talented playmaker from Leeds, Ala.

The Leeds Green Wave won Alabama's Class 3A state championship in December, and Tony Threat is still enjoying the feeling from finishing a perfect season.

"It feels real good to win the 3A state title, and to finish a perfect 15-0," Tony Threatt said from his home in Leeds, Ala.

Threatt didn't have time to celebrate the victory with his teammates as he moved to the next sport.

"We won the championship game, and I played in a basketball game the following day," he said. "I scored 14-points in that game, but it was tough to turn around and play the day after playing a football game."

"We are 13-7 and ranked No. 5 in the state right now. I am averaging about 10-points per game," Threatt said of the Green Wave basketball team.

While Tony Threat is enjoying his current success on the gridiron, and on the hardwood, he is still being recruited to play football at the next level.

"I have gotten offers from The Citadel, and Samford, but I'm still solid to South Alabama, Threatt stated.

"I talk to Coach (Bill) Clark and Coach Walker every week. They just stay in touch with me to see how things are going. I will take my official visit to South Alabama sometime this month," Threat exclaimed.
