Brooks Johnson back from Memphis

Brooks Johnson pledged his services to the University of Memphis in early August, and he never wavered. Johnson tells ScoutSouth.com about the solid commitment to the Tigers after taking an official visit to the west Tennessee city.

"I took my official visit to Memphis last weekend," Brooks Johnson told ScoutSouth.com from his home in Decatur, Ala.

"It went very well. It was everything I expected, and more. I have been finished with the recruiting process for a long time, but I wanted to get up there for my official," Johnson stated.

"I have been to Memphis so many times that I have seen everything to see, but it was nice to go up for my official visit. We went out to eat when I arrived Friday night. The rest of the time I just hung out with the players, and other guys that were there on their official visits."

"We went to the stadium, and all that. We ate a lot, and the food was always very good. I had a great time, and I look forward to getting up there and getting started."

Brooks Johnson is the 130th ranked tight end in the nation according to Scout.com. He is 6-3, 235-pounds, and runs a 4.75 40-yard dash.
