Justin Evans begins the process

Justin Evans plays a plethora of positions in multiple sports for the Midfield Patriots. He is an all-around athlete who is sure to spur the interest of college recruiters during the coming season.

Justin Evans led the Patriots' offense completing 139-of-192 passing attempts for 1,643 yards, and 16 touchdowns. He added 469 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground. He also played cornerback, wide receiver, returned kicks, and averaged 34.5 yards as the teams starting punter.

Evans is just beginning his recruiting process.

"I have had a couple of schools show some interest in me," Evans told ScoutSouth.com from his home in Pleasant Grove, Ala. "Navy came by my school, and they said they had just found out about me."

"I had to sit out my sophomore season after transferring from Pleasant Grove, so this season was my first varsity action," Evans explained.

"They (Navy) just wanted to talk to me and see how everything was going. They seemed interested in me."

"I am going to the Nike combine in Mobile on the 14th of February, and I'm going to the Under Armor combine that Midfield High School will be hosting April, 17th, 18th and the 19th."

"I might go to the Southern Miss camp with a few teammates and the Alabama camp this summer," Evans noted.

When asked of favorites Evans replied, "I grew up a die hard Alabama fan."

Evans also plays baseball and runs track for the Patriots. He runs the 800, 400, 200, 100, and participates in the long jump event. Evans also lines up at third base and right field on the diamond. He is also a right handed pitcher for the Patriots.

With all the talent shown on the field perhaps the most impressive attribute Justin Evans has comes in the classroom. He sports a 4.0 GPA, and he has registered to take his ACT this spring.
