Jonathan Robertson is a 6-4, 255-pound defensive end for the Cullman Bearcats, and he has seen his recruitment take the next step in the past few weeks. Robertson tells the latest news in this interview.

Jonathan Robertson passes the eye test with flying colors, and his film isn't bad either. recently met with Robertson on the Bearcat campus, and he discussed the latest developments in his recruitment.

"I have started receiving a lot of interest from some of the schools around the SEC, as well as others," Robertson explained.

"I have received 40 or 50 letters from different schools, and I have had a few coaches come by the school. Coach Cignetti (Alabama) came by my school and got some film while he was there."

Some coaches from Tulane came by. They also got some film while they were there. Houston Nutt and Tyrone Nix (Ole Miss) came by to see us and get film."

"I have been to camp at Alabama a couple times, and I have been invited to Junior Day. I have also been invited to Junior Day at Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn, UAB, Arkansas State and Jacksonville State," Robertson said.

"I have talked to several coaches from other schools. I have spoke to coach Don Dunn at Auburn, but that was before the coaching change. I haven't heard from anyone since they got rid of Coach Tuberville.

"I have talked with the coach at Southern Miss (Larry Fedora), but some of the others I can't remember their names at this time."

Robertson claims no favorites at this time, but says he does like Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Arkansas.

Robertson is working with a personal trainer to improve his strength and speed (4.80) during the off season, as well as working hard in the off-season program at Cullman High School.
