A.T. Thomas receiving interest

Gadsden, Ala. - Coosa Christian Academy's A.T. Thomas rushed for 1,643, with an average of 11.4 yards per carry. He turned in the fastest 40-yard dash (4.43) at Jacksonville State University's summer camp before heading into his junior season. His athleticism has caught the eye of several recruiters recently, and Coach Teddy Helms has the latest news.

Coach Teddy Helms discussed more of A.T. Thomas:

"A.T. is one of the best players I have ever coached," Coach Helms said from Coosa Christian Academy. "God blessed A.T. with something that not many others have. He blessed him with great athletic ability."

"A.T. was the fastest guy at the Jacksonville State camp last summer. I timed him last week at 4.38, and he ran a 4.43 at Jacksonville last summer."

"He has great balance. He is very elusive, but his balance and speed is what sets him apart from most people. He is just a great athlete in every aspect of the game," Helms noted.

"Auburn, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Samford, and Jacksonville State have been calling."

"I have sent film to all those schools and some others are supposed to come watch A.T. during spring practice. I expect his recruitment to really pick up after coaches see him in person."
