Preston Hatcher talks coaching changes

Preston Hatcher, an offensive lineman at Dothan's Northview High School has confirmed Coach Chip Harris has resigned his post as the head football coach at Northview High School.

Coach Harris resigned as head football coach of Northview High School, and it leaves some scratching their heads.

One former assistant coach told ScoutSouth.com, "I did not see this coming at all."

Preston Hatcher understandably did not want to speculate as to why Coach Harris decided to leave Northview, but chose to look to the future.

"I just hope we get some good coaches in here to take his place," Hatcher told ScoutSouth.com from his home in Dothan, Ala.

"I have a visit to Vanderbilt coming up this weekend, and I am going to focus on that. Coach Fisher has been talking to me pretty often, and he invited me to Vandy for a visit. I get a lot of mail from Vanderbilt, and I talk to Coach Fisher a lot. I would say Vanderbilt is recruiting me harder than anyone else at this time."

"I have also been talking to UAB, and I am going to stop by there Friday on my way to Nashville. UAB has been recruiting me pretty hard, too."

"I will also attend Junior Day at Georgia Tech April 11th. I was invited over there, and I believe I will take a look at Georgia Tech. Coach [Charles] Kelly has asked me to call him, and I have to get in touch with him. I am looking forward to all my visits," Preston Hatcher concluded.
