Cullman DE holding two

Jonathan Robertson helped the Cullman (Ala.)Bearcats to the semi-final round of the Class 5A state playoffs the two previous seasons, and his hard work is starting to pay off. Robertson tells the latest news in this interview.

"I have been hearing from a lot of schools recently," Jonathan Robertson said. "UAB and Troy have both offered me in the last week."

"UAB's defensive line coach (Lorenzo Costantini) really liked the way I looked. He also liked my film, so they (UAB) offered me a scholarship as a defensive end."

"Coach Larry Blakeney and his defensive coordinator, (Jeremy Rowell) called the school last week, and I called them back later the same day. They told me they really liked my size and my film, and they wanted to extend a scholarship offer to me," Robertson explained.

"Coach Britton has also been hearing from Ole Miss, and they told him they weren't far from offering me a scholarship. LSU is also still recruiting me hard," Robertson stated.

Robertson has also been working hard in the weight room.

"I have been working hard during the off season. We maxed out last week, and I have some new totals. I lifted 410-pounds flat bench, and 500-pounds squat. We didn't do power clean, but I think that will come a little later," Robertson concluded.
