Ryan Williams holds a pair
"Offensively, we did good," said Ryan Williams. "We still have some things to work on. I felt like our team did good for the most part. We are working new people in. Overall, I thought we did good."
"I think I had a good day. I had a couple of good catches in the end zone and caught a couple big passes on third down."
Williams moved from Jacksonville, Fla. to Birmingham as a freshman. He finds himself at Pelham instead of Nease where he would have spent his high school years.
A pair of teammates, linebackers Jake Holland and Nigel Terrell, have received several scholarship offers. Holland committed to Auburn in April.
"Air Force and Navy offered me a week ago," Williams said. "It was real exciting to get the offers. I have been waiting on them. Jake and Nigel have received a bunch of offers. I was happy to finally receive some. I got the first one, and I was very happy. The next day I got another one."
"Air Force is recruiting me as an H-Back or slot-type player. They want to get me in open space and make plays. Navy wants me at cornerback or somewhere on offense. I play corner, but only in certain situations."
Williams has attended several camps and plans for additional trips this month.
"I went to Louisville," he said. "They told me after the camp they were going to offer me. I am waiting to see what happens with that."
"I ran a 4.4-40 at the Memphis camp. I have been to Kentucky, Western Kentucky, Louisville and Middle Tennessee as well. I have camps coming up at Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt."
Williams is wide open and not ready to name any favorites.
"My quickness and route running makes me a great player," he said. "I take pride in my route running. I am small, but I run great routes and get myself open. I am currently 5-foot-7, 165-pounds."
