Cameron Groce holds one

Cameron Groce, tight end from Gardendale, Ala., was one of the top performers at the Mountain Brook 7-on-7 camp. He was catching passes from his 2011 6-foot-6 quarterback Dallas Tidwell. Groce has received one scholarship offer and hearing from other programs across the region.

"I have an offer from UAB," said Cameron Groce. "Kentucky, Auburn and Troy have been showing a lot of interest in me as well. I believe Kentucky and Auburn are real close to offering me."

"I have been to quite a few camps this summer. I have been to UAB, Kentucky, Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee and Troy. The Alabama camp stood out the most to me. It was very intense. We got after it pretty hard."

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound prospect lists favorites as Alabama, Auburn and Kentucky.

Alabama: "I grew up a fan, and it's always been my dream to go there."

Auburn: "I would be close to my family if I went to Auburn. It feels like family down there as well."

Kentucky: "Kentucky has great facilities and great coaches."
Groce recorded 28 receptions for 230 yards during the 2008 season.

"I am being recruited as a tight end," he said. "I feel like I have real good hands. I am trying to improve my footwork."
