"I am going to Florida State."

Nigel Terrell, Scout.com three-star outside linebacker from Pelham, Ala., has made his college choice. Terrell had trimmed his list to Florida State and Ole Miss, and the decision was known to the coaches last week.

"I am going to Florida State," said Nigel Terrell. "I decided about a week and a half ago. There were a combination of things that lead me to my decision. I appreciate all the schools that recruited me, but it was mostly where the school was and where I could see myself living after college."

"I told the coaches last week about my decision. I talked to coach [Jimbo] Fisher and [Chuck] Amato. They were excited when I committed. They acted in disbelief."

"I told them I wanted to come there. They asked me what they needed to do and what questions I had. I told them nothing else to this point. I wanted to come to Florida State."

Terrell was offered by Florida State during the spring. He attend their camp and went back for a visit in the summer with his parents.

"Florida State looks like they are on the rise," Terrell said. "They always have a good linebacker corp. In the future they are looking pretty good. Why not be a part of a team that could be in another major bowl game."

"I went down there for the Showtime camp. I then went back a week later with my family. I like everything down there. I like the stadium. It has neighboring colleges. There are a lot of people down there."

"We have a pretty good relationship," Terrell said of the Florida State coaches. "I try to call down there every week. I am always so busy with my priorities. I try to call all of the coaches. It's been kind of hard since the season has started. Coach Amato and Coach Fisher are the main guys I talk to."

"They want me to play outside linebacker. I feel great about going there to play outside linebacker. They are one the top schools in the country to play for."

Terrell finished his junior year with 101 tackles, 65 solo tackles. He recorded 14 tackles for loss, three sacks and one interception. The 2008 season was his first year playing the linebacker position.
