Ellis carried the ball twice accounting for 134 yards including a record-tying 99-yard touchdown. He also caught a pass for 45 yards and a score. Jones had 17 total tackles, with 10 solo in the 32-6 win over Highland Home.

David Demastus
5-10, 170 pounds
Junior Fullback/Linebacker
Phillips, Bear Creek High School

Demastus had 49 yards on 10 carries scoring two touchdowns and two two-point conversions. He caught six passes for 100 yards and another score. Defensively, the junior had 13 tackles and caused a fumble in the 40-15 win over Marion County.

Austin Grammar
6-1, 185 pounds
Sophomore Quarterback
American Christian Academy

Grammar completed 13-of-20 pass attempts or 227 yards and six touchdowns in their 44-8 win over Thorsby.

Steven Stewart
5-11, 185 pounds
Junior Running Back
Sulligent High School

Stewart has filled the offensive shoes left empty by the graduation of Troy signee Caleb Massey, but Stewart and the Blue Devils won their first region game, defeating Cleveland 35-12. Stewart rushed for 101 yards on 20 carries scoring two touchdowns and converting two two-point conversions. He caught five passes for 66 yards, and he recorded a sack on the defensive side of the ball.

Victor Marshall
5-10, 160 pounds
Senior Running Back/Outside Linebacker
Butler County Magnet School

Butler County has won their first two games, and this week a 22-7 win over J.U. Blacksher. Marshall carried the ball 16 times for 136 yards and a touchdown. He retunred two punts for 72 yards. Defensively, the senior had nine tackles and a sack for 15 yards.

Mitch Stults
5-8, 150 pounds
Freshman Quarterback
Hamilton High School

Stults stepped in for graduated quarterback Josh Hollingsworth (Furman) and has led the team to two wins. The latest, a 54-40 win over Good Hope. The young quarterback completed 11-of-16 pass attempts for 161 yards and three touchdowns. He rushed for 111 yards on five carries scoring twice more.

Kyle Caldwell
5-8, 140 pounds
Junior Quarterback/Kicker
Dadeville High School

Caldwell completed 15-of-29 pass attempts for 245 yards scoring four touchdowns. He rushed for 64 yards on seven carries. The junior further helped his team defeat Montevallo 44-27 completing three field goals of 35, 26, and 27 yards.

Andrew Dauphin
5-11, 180 pounds
Senior Running Back
Houston Academy

Dauphin and his teammates took out their rival Houston County 26-22. The senior had 256 yards rushing on 44 carries scoring three touchdowns of 24, seven and five yards.

Josh Johnson
5-11, 210 pounds

Winston County High School

Johnson rushed for 235 yards on 14 carries in a 41-21 win over Oakman. He scored three touchdowns in the region victory.

Jordan McCartney
5-9, 175 pounds
Freshman Quarterback
Demont Buice
6-2, 220 pounds
Senior Running Back
Gaston High School

McCartney completed six-of-nine pass attempts for 254 yards scoring three times. Buice shows no signs for giving up his spot on the 'Stars of Alabama' list with a 178-yard rushing performance in a 46-23 win over Gaylesville. Buice scampered for a score on an opening kickoff return of 88 yards. He scored two additional times at running back.

Hunter Childers
6-1, 180 pounds
Sophomore Quarterback
Red Bay High School

Childers completed eight-of-ten pass attempts for 204 yards including two touchdown passes of 43 and 92 yards in a win over Westminster Christian 38-17.

Honorable Mention:

Armond Ball, 5-10, 160 pounds, Senior Running Back, McKenzie – rushed for 302 yards on 19 carries scoring five touchdowns. He also scored on a 67-yard touchdown return.

Nelson Robinson, 5-9, 160 pounds, Cornerback, Reeltown – The senior had six tackles, two interceptions and a touchdown against Francis Marion.

Terrance Hollingsworth, 5-8, 175 pounds, Eighth Grade Running Back/Wide Receiver, Berry High School - scored five first-half touchdowns in his team's 60-6 victory over Meek. He rushed for 42 yards on eight carries scoring three times. He also caught four passes for 63 yards and two touchdowns.
