A little surprised that the proposed transfer rule was so soundly defeated today by the legislative council of the AIA. This is a good example of where the schools have to take some blame for how the AIA does things. They had a chance to make a change and there just was no will to do so. There are 45 members of the Council. 9 of them didn't even show up for the vote according to Les. Of the remaining 36, three apparently didn't vote, and of the 33 who did vote only 7 were in favor of the new transfer rule. 26 were against. (Numbers according to Scott Bordow). So in this instance if you don't like all the transferring that is going on, you can look at your districts rep on the legislative council, not the AIA.
