was chatting with a friend about this: not sure it's as much a statement about AZ football as it is about the classes of 2012-2013. the 2012 and 2013 classes from Arizona seem to have their fair share of transfers, and even multiple transfers. Willis, Ortiz, Bruggman (WSU->Louisville, if only for a minute ->SCC?), Brewer(UT->UA->NAU), Neal (ND->UA), K. Taylor (UW->NAU), A. Moss (NU ->Youngstown State)
Priest and Ortiz both played, both getting quality reps: Priest played 9 games as a frosh and Ortiz 8 - then Priest played 12 last season with 1 start - Ortiz fell on the depth chart this past season though and didn't seem to be able to make mark on defense after they switched him over.
I just dont understand this thinking i just read a article about Ortiz leaving and it said "He played in 26 games the past two seasons — mainly on special teams". So just because you dont start you leave why not work harder and prove yourself.
Javon Williams left UCLA after only being there for summer classes and fall camp back in 2012 - he didn't qualify, so he left there, committed to a juco in Iowa, but then ended up at Arizona Western. He played for them for the first half of 2013 season, but then was dismissed from the team and school (not announced why that I know of), just before he committed to Oregon State. It was noted, at that time, that he would likely be eligible to play with Oregon State come this 2015 season (rather than 2014 - because he had to go finish juco somewhere else to get AA to be eligible), but he is not on the Beavers' roster now.
