I know this is a little late, but I was still nursing the hangover following the Chap Helix win. Some intriguing matchups at all levels 1-3 this week:
RM @ Westlake - I have to go with Westlake on this one. The great AZ takeover of Cali was last weekend. Once again RM is slow out of the starting gate
DE @ PV - Could be a shootout. Is everyone healthy? Some rumors are swirling that maybe not. If everyone is I think DE has more D than PV so they get the W in OT. OK?
Boulder Creek @ Salpointe - Maybe this isn't worthy of prediction, but it involves a re-tooling D1 team against the Tucson royalty - so I figured worthy of prognostication. BC.
Pinnacle @ Saguaro - Pinnacle is in big trouble this season and Saguaro will do everything - including trick plays and bombs when up by 40 in the 4th - to not go 1-2. Saguaro
CeHS @ Basha - I think Basha's offense gets Bashed and their D gets tired. CeHS
Chandler @ Chap - I have to go with my gut - twisted and full of corpulent material - and go with Chandler. Too many weapons
Liberty @ BCP - Liberty is another team that is going to be in trouble early - until they find some offense. BCP is quietly establishing consistency, defense and depth. BCP
Perry @ Mesa MV - 2 surprising teams. I go with the homeboys.
DR @ O'Connor - Going with DR - more athletes?
NDP @ Skyline - Skyline in a rout
Higley @ Campo Verde - Pretty soon one of these teams will hit a losing streak - I bet it will be Higley first and starts Friday
Horizon @ Marana MV - Can Horizon find any D playing closer to the border? Does MMV have enough "O" to keep pace? I think they get the home W
Williams Field @ DV - DV surprisingly finds some mojo in Cali and gets the W. I think WF has too much speed for them though
Hamilton @ Highland - I almost left this one out, but thought that maybe something surprising could happen in this game. So I am going with my gut - Highland stays within 14 in the loss.
Westwood @ Ironwood Ridge - This is the battle of the ground and pound. The team that can effectively play action pass wins. I think WW eekes out a close road win.
Sabino @ Verrado - I figured this was worthy of mention as Verrado is an up and comer and Sabino is a perennial Tucson contender. Long drive for Sabino but I think they join the other Sabercats with a W on Friday
