You have stated in the past that you will delete any post or thread if a coach or AD simply asks you to.
While I don't necessarily agree with that policy, I respect it because this is your forum and you can run it how you see fit.
It just seems very cowardly to me to have a coach continue to request to have posts deleted simply because he doesn't like the content. I have had 3 posts now deleted in the past couple of weeks on the small ball board.
None of my posts contained any lies or rumors. I simply either stated facts or gave my opinion on facts.
There is one post on this page that basically accuses Notre Dame Prep of violating AIA rules. Which I have no problem with by the way. If an AIA rule is being violated, people should have a right to hear about it. But it just seems a little contradictory to leave something like that up, but delete me reporting that a certain coach was at a certain team function this summer. It was a fact I posted. Not rumor. And just because a coach doesn't like it, it automatically gets deleted? Regardless of the content?
Again, you can run things how you want. Just looking for some clarity here on the policy. Because it doesn't seem quite fair to me to censor some things, but not others. Just because ONE guy doesn't like it.
You know my policy, if a thread is about a person or his school, doesn't matter if it's coach, player or fan, and that person asks me to delete it, I do it. No questions asked.
Fair enough. And like I have told you in this thread, and through PM's, this is your forum. You run it as you see fit. I have no problem with you and this was not intended to call you out.
I just think its cowardice on the part of these individuals to censor the subjects at hand. If he (or in this case they) have an issue with any thing I have posted, why not address it and lets have some dialogue? If I am wrong or am off base, then I have no problem admitting I am wrong. But censoring things because they dont like it or they think it makes them look bad, is very bad form on their part IMO. And by reading between the lines, its quite obvious who requested the last one to be deleted.
As you and others know, Ive been a huge advocate of small school football for as long as these message boards have been around. If I feel something is not right or compromises the integrity of our HS sport, then I'm going to speak up. And if people have a problem with that, they know where to find me. I'm a PM away from a request to meet at a Starbucks and hash things out over a cup of coffee. Its happened before.
