I was in the stands and it didn't seem either coach was really busting out all the stops and were using it to just get some of the rust out. More or less just seeing what they were going to be working with for the season. Chandler is going to have to make some adjustments with Kolby Taylor out, but they do have others that are ready to step in and carry the load and it seems they will be favoring sophomore QB Jacob Conover for the starting job as he was leading the offense with the first team. Centennial's defense was strong and held Chandler for a few plays, but Ryan Johnson was a spark in the running game as Chandler was able to put one in the end zone. Penalties hurt both teams as the ball was brought back on a few occasions. Centennial should have scored on an overthrown pass with a receiver wide open. Again, a fairly even scrimmage and I'm sure both coaching staffs will have a lot of loose ends to tie up. Both coaches used their 2nd and 3rd string teams to give them some work out there as well. Since I'm not an analyst or a play by play guy to give the best assessment, I'll leave that up to dangerouswoody as he'll probably have a more thorough approach to the scrimmage.
